Subject: Request for Re-Examination or Re-Notification Due to 59 Kannada Translation Errors in KAS Preliminary Exam

Respected Madam,

I am writing to bring to your kind attention a grave issue concerning the recent Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS) Preliminary Examination conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). In the Kannada version of the question paper, 59 translation errors have been identified, creating confusion among candidates and leading to an unfair disadvantage for those who opted for Kannada as their medium of examination.

These errors have significantly impacted the performance of Kannada-medium candidates, as many questions were misleading, ambiguous, or incorrectly translated, making it difficult for aspirants to answer accurately. Given that KAS is one of the most prestigious state-level competitive examinations, such mistakes severely affect the future of thousands of candidates who have worked hard to prepare for this exam.

Concerns and Issues:
1. Unfair Disadvantage for Kannada-Medium Candidates – Due to translation errors, many aspirants faced difficulty understanding the questions, unlike their English-medium counterparts.
2. Violation of Linguistic Rights – Kannada, being the official language of Karnataka, must be given due respect, especially in state-level examinations.
3. Loss of Trust in the Examination Process – Repeated translation mistakes in government exams raise concerns about transparency and fairness in the recruitment process.
Our Humble Requests:
1. Conduct a Re-Examination – To ensure justice for all candidates, a fresh examination should be conducted with error-free Kannada translations.
2. Issue a Re-Notification – If a re-exam is not possible, the government should take corrective measures, such as re notification performance based on the errors.
3. Improve Quality Control in Future Examinations – A dedicated team of Kannada linguistic experts should be appointed to verify translations before finalizing question papers.
I sincerely urge you to intervene in this matter and direct the concerned authorities to take immediate corrective action. This issue not only affects the careers of thousands of aspirants but also questions the credibility of competitive examinations in Karnataka.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಲೋಕಸೇವಾ ಆಯೋಗದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾಗದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಾರೀ ಮೋಸವಾಗಿದೆ.. ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೇ, ಈ ಪರಿ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಮಾನ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು ಅಕ್ಷಮ್ಯ ಅಪರಾಧ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಪಿಎಸ್ ಸಿಯ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಅಧಃಪತನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ..
