BJP has no dearth of leaders. From Jan Sangh days, there have been loyal Karyakarthas working towards the parties goals and ideology. Went through many ups and downs.

Certain pivotal moments define who you are, it is one such time in TN BJP.

BJP is here to stay for the next few decades.

Anything is possible in politics, even Annamalai's party might join hands with BJP in the future. 🤷🤷🤷

There is unverified news, that @AmitShah ji might visit Tamil Nadu soon.

Some dimwits have a problem with that also!!!

He is the Home Minister of India and BJP party leader. He has every right to visit any State at any time.

To prove some point against TN BJP and recent happenings, you don't need to stoop low.

Amit Shah ji has master minded several BJP victories.

From micro managing booth committees to setting National agendas.

Winning States from what seemed impossible from BJP.

'TN is different' is a sentence being used quite often.

That's what many other States thought. Every fortress has been breached.

He has not fully turned his focus on TN. BJP tried and tested with Annamalai. Things might not have worked out. But if anyone thinks Amit ji will keep quite and has no other plan, that will only show their foolishness.

BJP are masters at elections and numbers, their goal is to stay in power for the next 20 years atleast.

They know when, where and how much to focus.

Muthu ji, what is really the reason BJP couldn't reconcile to KA's push for bottom approach? Why they didn't see that as bigger loss for BJP? Any expert analysis from you or anyone else available?

My reply:

Tamil Nadu is not special. But we are unique. India is a heterogeneous country with different DNAs. BJP could never understand our state's DNA despite Annamalai's repeated discussions with central BJP. Finally he gave up.

None of the popular narrative set by central government resonates with people here. BJP's core ideologies have very few followers.

What Tamil Nadu sees as important looks insignificant for central BJP.

Though no one can be certain about future, it is unlikely that BJP would ever come to power in Tamil Nadu.

They are in for a rough ride in the future.

BJP did not form Governments in short span of time in many States. It was long and hard fought battle.

No alliance is permanent. Strategy changes over time.

BJP-AIADMK alliance was short-sighted. It could have been avoided. That does not mean the end of the world.

If change has to happen in 6 years, none of these would have happened.

If @annamalai_k had quit IPS, started a people's movement to metamorphosis into a political party.

Would that have garnered the same attention and following?

BJP gave him the platform to rise and shine. The benefit was mutual. He worked hard and contributed to TN BJP's rise. He was parachuted directly to top role in TN BJP.

I am sure Modi and Shah had a long term plan. And he had the backing of RSS too.

Hope their paths cross in the future.

Ally with BJP, but have it's own cadre base. Strong ties with Modiji, work hand-in-hand with Center.

If Annamalai continued with BJP, his chance to climb up the ladder would have definitely come. It will take time.

Modiji, Amit ji, Yogiji, Fadnavis ji etc. did not come to this position overnight. There was decades of sacrifice and commitment to BJP and it's ideology.

Annamalai mentioned that his party will contest the next general elections in 2029.

Is he going to campaign against BJP (and in turn against Modiji)?

That is something I will not be happy about.

In April 2025, Amit Shah ji finalized the TN Assembly Elections alliance with AIADMK.

Prior to that, @annamalai_k was removed as State President.

When a journalist asked about the future role of Annamalai, Amit ji asked them not to worry too much into it. And BJP will find an apt role for Annamalai.

Fast forward one year, Annamalai has resigned from BJP itself.
