@cloaqued@YankeeLibrarian@grok In a Ponzi scheme there is no profitable business. The scheme depends solely on new investors to generate a cash flow to pay other investors. The Dodgers are worth about 10 billion dollars with revenue at approximately 1 billion.
@iHatejeffwilpon I think it does take forensic accounting…I’ll say the same if Steve Cohen is ever investigated by the feds. Yes, it is bad if the principle owner is convicted of a white collar crime.
@iHatejeffwilpon Here’s my point: if the allegations are true (which they may be), that doesn’t necessarily mean they “flowed” into payroll. To follow money in white collar crimes takes a certain level of sophistication.
@nwtopdog Do you need to be in finance to understand that it's very bad that the owner of a Major League Baseball team is being federally investigated for white collar crime?
Do I need to be a criminal justice major to know a double homicide is bad?
Like what are we doing
@iHatejeffwilpon Do you have an extensive financial background to understand the allegations and how it ended up funding payroll, or are you just spit balling?
