Baki to mujhe bankers ka bhi pta hi hai…
Three-Day Bank Strike has been deferred. But five-day week is a good idea for bank employees and bank balance sheets. Customers will not suffer in a digital economy, if planned with care. Win-win-win for all three. Latest #BankersTrust in @bsindia
Aggrieved and disappointed with UFBU decision to defer 3 days strike action without date of implementation of 5 days banking AIPNBOF has decided to de affiliate with AIBOA and In turn moving out of UFBU .
AIPNBOF was never consulted on this betrayal of PSB bankers by UFBU leadership.
My Take on UFBU Circular
1. High level Committee should conclude in Time Bound manner and Govt must be a Party of it.
2. PLI formula should be Uniform and not Zero for anyone.
Members must be Justified with details.
The video from Jamui, Bihar is deeply disturbing.
Two Class 10 students were stopped on a road. Harassed. Humiliated. Molested. A young girl, hands folded, begged to be let go while goons groped her and dragged her away.
Who gave these men the right to behave like this? This is not "culture." It is patriarchy: the belief that any man can police a girl's body, her movement, her choices.
When control is mistaken for culture, and such attitudes are normalised by Andhbhakts, mobs start believing they are the law.
Every individual in that video must be identified and prosecuted under POCSO, and justice must be swift. And if the incident happened on September 19th, why are the culprits not behind bars yet?
And the Bihar government must answer why a girl is not safe on a public road at 7 pm?
The worst aspect of a government job is not that you compete for extremely small number of opportunities or you spend years to prepare for it.
The worst aspect is that you end up working with people who are practically biowaste. Their mannerism, their vocabulary, their speech, their behavior everything is so uncouth, uncivilised and unbecoming that at some point this starts creeping into your personality due to constant proximity and no matter how much you shield yourself you end up having their traits to some extent at least if you want to survive there.
Their ganwarpan and jaahiliyat make you look like an outcaste if you do not adopt it.
This is the reason why private sector jobs are much more humane. The people are not as uncouth and uncivilised at least comparatively.
#WATCH | Chennai, Tamil Nadu | All India Bank Employees' Association (AIBEA) General Secretary CH Venkatachalam says, “Today the strike has been successful all over the country. Nearly eight lakh employees, officers, and managers have participated. The strike has been successful. The main demand in this strike is that, as agreed in the settlement in March 2024, the government should give approval for introducing the five-day banking week. Today, two Saturdays are holidays; the remaining Saturdays are working days. We have agreed to extra working hours from Monday to Friday, and so we have asked for all Saturdays to be holidays… The next strike will be on 28, 29 and 30 September, three continuous days. If it is still not solved, then from October 26 it will be a continuous indefinite strike.”

#WATCH | Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), including the All India Bank Employees' Association (AIBEA), is holding a protest march in Bhopal as part of a nationwide strike over the delay in implementing a 5-day banking week, differences over performance-linked incentive (PLI) schemes, and several other pending demands, including pension-related issues.
What a shame for the Delhi Police - and for Amit Shah.
A Hindutva extremist Swatantra Bharadwaj is openly boasting that he broke open the head of a young protester’s father, who needed 60 stitches.
He further claims that Kapil Mishra’s intervention shielded him from police action, and asserts that not only Kapil Mishra but even Chirag Paswan is like an elder brother to him.
If someone can assault a citizen, openly boast about it, and flaunt political connections as protection from the law, what does that say about Delhi’s policing?
What does it say about the safety of ordinary citizens across Delhi-NCR?
This lawlessness is unfolding right under Amit Shah’s nose. That's why he is unworthy of the chair he occupies.
