I witnessed the inauguration of Dubai Metro’s Blue Line. The new line spans 30 km, linking 14 new stations to serve 9 areas with an estimated population of more than one million people, according to Dubai 2040 Urban Plan, which shall be launched in 9/9/2029.
The total expected benefits will exceed AED 56.5 billion by 2040, supporting the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
The Dubai Metro is one of the mega developmental projects which has translated the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to make Dubai the best city for living. Today, and with its new route, it continues to outline Dubai’s exceptional future.
