Here’s to a new chapter, new opportunities, and a shared vision for the future of work!
It’s new SDK day here at Objective HQ! Updates are available now for our Python & Typescript SDKs, rebuilt from the ground up with @StainlessAPI (the tooling behind some of our favorite helper libraries).
These new releases include full API coverage, including support for V3 Ensembles and Finetuning. Let us know what you think!

Every week is launch week lately here at Objective HQ - and this week is no different! Meet the V3 family of ensembles, adding a whole new layer of enhanced intent understanding to your users’ search queries 🔎3️⃣

Just in time for your weekend hacking, the team has shipped out a Python library that we already use internally here at HQ. Search Evaluator is a tool that makes it easier to evaluate & compare search results across multiple search engines using Anton, our AI evaluator.
If you've been looking for a better way to quickly benchmark relevance across platforms, boy do we have the Saturday project for you!

We’re sweating out the last days of summer here at Objective HQ with another ship that’s worth a thousand words. We’re stoked to launch Image Search into Public Beta today! You can now use an image as the search input in Objective indexes 🖼️🔎

We're so stoked this morning to announce Anton, an AI agent specialized in helping developers create great search experiences. Check it out! https://t.co/DYhmK9Hdvm
Launch day 🎉 meet Anton - an LLM judge specifically trained for evaluating search systems. Available as an API, it enables you to evaluate any search index at near-human quality in 1/10th the time & cost.
Anton is the first in a suite of AI agents we’re building that are specifically trained for enabling great search experiences. For website and app developers, delivering relevant search results is crucial to driving business success. We’ve seen over and over that relevance is correlated with online business metrics like engagement, conversion rates, and revenue.
Evaluating search relevance at scale, however, is challenging and time-consuming. The process typically involves engineers or search quality raters spending hours reviewing hundreds or thousands of results. Or, for the busiest teams, it means a quick spot check “looks good to me” that very often leaves serious gaps in search quality.
Anton makes this process easy by automating the task of rating results. We've evaluated it across multiple data types and found that agreement with humans is high. This means you can trust Anton to work alongside you, speeding up your iterations and enabling you to make more data driven decisions.
Our customers have already been leveraging Anton for months through some of our most used features like auto-fine tuning and evaluations. Today we're excited to open it up to everyone as a simple to use API. We can't wait to see what you'll build!

Meet Anton. Latest release from @objective_inc. Improve search results with LLM as a judge. It works on any search you are already are using. Watch @lancehasson demo it: https://t.co/LoUOtsgWnr
Any day is a great day when you get to celebrate a win with a customer. The team at @BrewsterHome is seeing an 11% (!!) increase in user Checkout rate after the switch to AI native product search with Objective. Go Team Brewster! See how they did it —

Sending a big high-five to @paramjaggi42 and the team at @SearchAgora this week for shipping a 10x search improvement in 3 days (!) with the switch to AI-native search using Objective! Check out how they did it —

Ranking Refinement ships into Private Beta today! It helps you remove bad vector search results by predicting great, ok, or bad relevance for each result at query-time with a layer of human-like classification, something that vector databases really struggle with. https://t.co/8upDQh9HRl
latency is super important with search, but getting vector search to run fast can be a challenge, esp. when using 3rd party embedding APIs
I put together a quick load test of our search API to show what kind of latency you can expect. In this example we're sitting around 70ms on average
Yesterday we launched Auto-Evaluations📊 I'm stoked for this release, evaluation is an incredibly important part of building a search system, but it's often manual & tedious. This leads many folks to simply not evaluate 🙅 Auto-Evals use LLMs to evaluate the quality of results. This means you can iterate orders of magnitude faster, while maintaining human quality results.
Objective Evaluations enable you to:
- Measure overall performance over different query sets
- See your best & worst queries
- Find blind spots where results are poor
- Compare results between search systems and measure results over time
- Use finetuning & other approaches to improve results

Auto-Evaluation is now in your Console! You can’t improve what you don’t measure, especially in search. Auto-Evaluation lets you quantitatively — and comprehensively — measure the relevance of your search. All powered by Objective’s AI-native intelligence layer. https://t.co/goS1xisD1U
In case you missed our Wikipedia experiment this morning, we built a live side-by-side demo to go along with it. https://t.co/Chza4PSexZ
It's a really great, tactile way to feel the difference that AI-native search gives you. Take it for a spin — search for anything in Wikipedia!
