I agree with Secretary Marco Rubio @SecRubio, who is a great Secretary of State, regarding Venezuela and Maduro. The same can be said of the President of Nigeria Bola Tinubu, who has a prior history of being investigated for heroin trafficking in the United States. If President Tinubu continues to be complicit in the genocide currently taking place in Nigeria, a country also increasingly adversarial to US interests, then he should be treated as we are treating Maduro and a Venezuela-style solution should also be considered for Nigeria. Concurrently, US political support for Biafran independence can further advance US interests while providing a safe haven for Nigeria's Christians.

The Truth is Out: U.S. Senate Confirms Cameroon’s Crimes Against Ambazonia

The Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC) welcomes the courageous statement from Senator Jim Risch, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who has finally spoken truth to power exposing Paul Biya’s corrupt regime as one that hunts its political opponents, enables Wagner’s illicit activities, and fuels jihadist groups like Boko Haram and ISIS while staging sham elections and unlawfully detaining U.S. citizens.

For decades, Cameroon has deceived the international community with propaganda portraying itself as a “stable democracy,” while in reality, it has carried out a brutal colonial occupation of Ambazonia since 1961 burning down villages, executing civilians, and silencing every voice that dares to demand freedom.

The AGovC echoes Senator Risch’s assertion that Cameroon is not a U.S. partner but a threat to regional peace and global security. The world must now confront the truth: Cameroon’s crimes extend beyond its borders, targeting activists abroad and weaponizing diplomacy to cover up genocide in Ambazonia.

We call on the U.S. Senate, the House of Representatives, and all democratic institutions to investigate Cameroon’s transnational repression, hold the regime accountable for war crimes, and push for a negotiated settlement between Ambazonia and Cameroon under neutral international supervision.

The people of Ambazonia will continue to resist occupation and exercise their lawful right to self-defense until Cameroon withdraws its forces.

For over six decades, the people of Ambazonia (Southern Cameroons) have suffered under Cameroon’s illegal occupation enduring killings, systematic torture, village burnings, gruesome human rights violations,mass arrests, and the silencing of every voice that demands freedom.

Cameroon’s dictatorship has long hidden behind the façade of “stability” while committing war crimes with impunity. Thousands have been killed, millions displaced, and entire communities wiped out from this earth yet the world stayed silent.

You have murdered pastors, attacked churches, and terrorized worshippers simply for professing their right to be Ambazonian. Thousands have been abducted for ransom, accused of belonging to online chat groups or showing sympathy for the cause of freedom.
You have burnt down thousands of homes and villages, leaving parents dead and children orphaned—all because they dared to defend Ambazonia. You have intimidated, detained, and illegally dethroned traditional leaders for refusing to become agents of your propaganda.
You have killed more than 30,000 innocent Ambazonians simply because of their nationality. Tens of thousands more remain displaced internally and externally, suffering unimaginable hardship as a result of your brutality and carnage.

Dear AUC CHAIRMAN @ymahmoudali HE Mahmoud Ali Youssouf,

✔️We, the undersigned, strongly oppose the statement issued by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission congratulating H.E. President Paul Biya on his re-election and failingbto condemn killings and abductions in the Republic of Cameroon.

✔️While we respect the African Union’s mandate to promote ELUSIVE peace, unity, and democratic governance across the continent, this congratulatory message undermines the SAME principles of democracy, human rights, and electoral integrity that the Union is duty-bound to uphold.

✔️The recent electoral process in Cameroon WAS marred by widespread irregularities, intimidation, lack of transparency, and credible allegations of electoral malpractice, which collectively cast doubt on the legitimacy of the declared outcome.

✔️WE THEREFORE NOTE that issuing congratulations under such circumstances risks legitimizing undemocratic practices, eroding public confidence in continental institutions, and diminishing the voices of millions of Cameroonians who continue to seek justice, reform, and inclusion.

✔️HOW ON EARTH CAN a call for national dialogue COME ON DEAD BODIES? -It can only be meaningful if it is inclusive, transparent, and genuinely facilitated by neutral actors committed to peace, human rights, and accountability.

✔️AUC IS COMPLEXITY of tge CRIMES in Cameroon -It HAS FOR YEARS NIT DOCUMENTED ANY EVIDENCE of the killings in Southern Cameroons .It has not involved opposition leaders, civil society organizations, and representatives from all conflict-affected regions to ensure that any process reflects the collective aspirations of the Cameroonian people.

✔️We therefore call upon the African Union Commission to:
1. Reconsider and withdraw its premature congratulatory message;
2. Support an independent, transparent review of the electoral process in Cameroon;
3.Facilitate an inclusive and credible national dialogue, ensuring that all stakeholders participate equally; and
4.Reaffirm its commitment to the principles enshrined in the AU Constitutive Act and the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance.

✔️Cameroon andc Southern Cameroons deserves a leadership and a process that reflect the will of its citizens, not symbolic gestures that obscure their struggle for justice and accountability.
