For someone who likes to be described as a senior analyst on Horn of Africa affairs,Cameron Hudson displays a remarkable disregard for the most elementary rule of analysis which is to verify your sources before drawing conclusions.
The account he refers to as an official Somaliland gov statement belongs to a private individual.A simple verification would have established that before he rushed to ridicule Somaliland.
Instead,he constructed an entire geopolitical argument around a nonexistent gov endorsement, dragging Israel and the UAE into a story founded on his own failure to investigate facts.
Recognition of Somaliland and a strategic alliance with Israel to access its battle-tested military technology have become vital requirements for Ethiopia's national security.

@i24NEWS_EN@Laura_L_Cellier Ethiopia’s strategic interests are better served by recognizing Somaliland as a stable, reliable partner than by viewing its recognition as a security threat. A stronger partnership with Somaliland can advance regional security and stability.

The President’s speech is live now! Tune in and watch it on YouTube using the link above!
Friday sermons address the issues affecting the lives of people. The government should therefore listen to public concerns, respond responsibly, and address them.
No one should attempt to mislead or divert attention from the real issues at hand!
Anyone who chooses to undermine or attack people who are already suffering and appealing to the government shows a hardened heart!
People undergoing kidney dialysis need solidarity and support from society, nothing more!
@OIC_OCI Any attempt to delegitimize Somaliland is disconnected from the reality. The destiny of Somaliland will be shaped by the democratic will of its people, not by statements issued beyond its borders.
As Somaliland secures its place on the world map, the upcoming cabinet reshuffle must prioritize competence. The President needs a team of educated and dedicated professionals who can translate this diplomatic win into tangible development for our people! @Abdirahmanirro
I deeply appreciate the resilience and dedication of the Somaliland Ministry of Water delegation. Your commitment to learning and building a better future, even in difficult times, is truly inspiring!
Despite these tough times, the members of the Somaliland Water Authority delegation, who are here with us, stay determined to keep learning and working towards a better future. Thank you for your determination & commitment! Hoping for peaceful days ahead. Shabbat Shalom to all!
“I’m so glad that we can openly say the word, Israel, because there was a time when we would not be sure about how people would respond to that."

DON’T TEST US A
DON’T TEST SOMALILAND.
Dignity matters.
To the world no matter what you try to do to Somaliland humanity stands firm and unshaken with every citizen against Al Shabaab Al Qaeda and Islamist terrorists from Somalia today tomorrow and every rainy day.
You won’t stop it.
You can’t stop it.
And that’s a promise.
You cannot silence a people’s right to self determination especially a strong democratic peace loving nation like Somaliland.

Somaliland has learnt how to cope with disappointment and bounce back.
Crucially, Somaliland has demonstrated ability to turn adversity into opportunity.
In the course of the last 30 years, It proved its resilience, kept on doing the right thing to consolidate its internal stability, social cohesion and democratic state-building.
Today, it has a good chance of achieving international recognition.
In the plausible event Israel's recognition does not generate the sufficient diplomatic cascade in favour of its recognition, you can be sure Somaliland will not implode, nor will it self-immolate in despair.
The typical expected response, characteristic of its maturity and philosophical mindset, is to take disappointment well in its stride and maintain focus on its state-building.
"The world will not end if we are not recognised. There is tomorrow," is a refrain I constantly hear whenever I visit Somaliland.
This positive and philosophical mindset is Somaliland's greatest social capital and its beating heart - the source of its extraordinary strength and mental fortitude.
