Continuing on our theme of bathrooms, the bathroom at our recently completed project in Nottingham provides an inner sanctuary, by utilising light and optimsing space to provide a room with rest, recovery and relaxation in mind.
While the time will come to talk about his legacy, right now we are feeling the loss of our mentor, colleague and friend. Our thoughts are with his wife Tessa and his family.

Oliver cared deeply about his craft. His interest in architecture ran the gamut of the profession; city place-making to careful detailing; ideas and conversation; his care for his community, collaborators, students and colleagues; always exploring, learning and sharing.

Many thanks to MSP Tom Arthur, who came by last week to discuss the benefits of Employee Ownership and how EOBs can contribute to the Scottish Governments Community Wealth Plan. We shared our evolution since becoming an EOB; the challenges, benefits and ambitions.
@ThomasCArthur
Great day out walking and talking with the Historic Environment Scotland team around Ellisland Farm yesterday, discussing proposals for its future and @luctweeting ’s annual gathering in the company of Burns at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
It is a partnership between Wildland, NHS Highland and Highland Council. We’re delighted to continue work on this vital facility that will improve the lives of residents, staff and the wider community of the North Coast. (2/2) With Wildland, @NHSHighland, @HighlandCouncil

We joined the summer fun with a party to celebrate our new employee-owned status. We enjoyed catching up with colleagues, friends and collaborators and hosting an exhibition of works by artist Chris Sleath. Thanks to all who came to celebrate with us. It was a fantastic night!
Here's a short sketch sequence showing how the farmhouse and byres that Robert Burns designed and built still remain at the heart of the Ellisland we see today. Research revealing 18thC receipts for thatch, slates, dressed stone and timbers help us understand material histories.
Thanks @grigormitchell for your lunchtime talk on your passive house project that’s on site. A relaxed form that’s brought to order along the Blackford Avenue street edge, plus your usual rigorous assessment of operational carbon and knowledge of alternative construction methods.
Our extension and refurbishment project in Nottingham is taking shape! A sneak peek into the new interior with the internal kitchen render and the living/dining/kitchen axonometric. We're looking forward to sharing the finished work soon.
(2/2) This is built on consultations that AACT members contributed to last year and supported our team's earlier input that put the future vision towards the site's natural value as much as its real estate value. Of particular note is the intention to employ a full-time ranger.
(1/2) Great to hear via Astley Ainslie Community Trust (AACT) that NHS Lothian Charity have now published their Greenspace Management Plan [https://t.co/afUrw6nuhY] for the Astley Ainslie.
Great sharing ideas for a new home for the Isle of Raasay’s community owned shop on a spectacular site overlooking the cuillins. The second image is the proposed shop, looking north towards the Cuillins.
