@KayMart08727580 @simonahac If you are wondering why we charge at 5kW on our Wallbox charger and not the 7kW you can get from a 2-phase Wallbox... It's because in Queensland they limit EV charging to 20 amps AC. Which is ~4.8kW

@KayMart08727580 @simonahac You might have to charge every day with a 160km round trip. But a 2-phase Wallbox charger will be sufficient to charge for that distance in a few hours.

@KayMart08727580 @simonahac You should not need 3-phase. We have a Kona Electric and my wife drives 80km round trip to work each day. Plus a lot of extra driving to shops and so on in semi-rural area. Do 30000km per year. Charging at ~5kW on 2-phase power Wallbox charger 2-3 times per week to 80% is enough

@simonahac Just passed 65,000km over 2.5 years. No noticeable degradation of the battery so far on our Hyundai Kona Electric. But I am quite mindful of battery-care and only charge when needed and rarely over 80%.

@ShorterboyMs @AvidCommentator Exactly! A fast way to increase supply would be to make new construction costs tax-deductible. It's not fair that property developers can deduct construction costs from profits, but individuals have to pay for construction from after-tax income.

@bentleya1 @TheKouk What? The inflation figures should be heavily weighted on mainly things people can't avoid. Because those are the most important costs. If they are excluded then it would show inflation as lower and give the RBA and gov more runway to let inflation run high before doing anything.

@christinaqi Tbf: after the amount I have heard some have to pay to attend institutions like that, they are practically now your client/boss and they should be the ones interviewing you. You should be grateful to receive their fees so you can keep your job.
