During our stay in Ilocos last June 2023, our dearest Mamu @Mamu_The_UBQ already gave the idea that we should do something worthwhile every now and then for People’s Initiative PH @officialpiph. Our Fambam Circle wholeheartedly embraced the notion because, after all, what better way to express our love for our country than by actively serving our fellow countrymen?

On one of my trips here in Rizal, fate introduced me to a Grab Driver named Kuya Jess Perez. Filled with curiosity, I couldn't help but inquire about his family and whether he had kids getting ready for the upcoming school year. As he opened up, I realized that not all parents are fortunate enough to provide for their children's every need, especially when they have multiple kids in school. Public schools and LGUs, sadly, are not as privileged as the ones in Makati City. I asked him about his son's school and year level. I smiled because I know where that school is.

When I got home, I immediately proposed the idea to our elders who have been really asking me for months on what our next project would be. And tada, "Balik Eskwela 2023" was conceived after numerous meetings with Mamu and Friends.

The day designated for packing school supplies soon arrived and the volunteers who heed to the calling came to my humble abode to pack the school materials ordered by our Team Lead, Keisei @_keisei. My heartfelt gratitude extends to this wonderful crew – #TeamKorea2024, RD @RD_Bond_007, Joy @Engr_Joy_, Efren @Senyoref, and Micah – for answering to the call of duty!

On September 11, 2023, the birthday of our most beloved President Ferdinand "Apo Lakay" Marcos Sr., we distributed basic school materials for the all Grade 1 Students of Saint Anthony School. Alongside me were Team Lead Keisei, Co-Lead RD, and our secret rare Pokemon named Jollibee. We may have been few in number, but deep within, I believe we managed to bring a spark of joy that made a Grade 1 Student’s heart giddy that day. Oh and last but ain't the least, live a life well lived to our dearest President Ferdinand "BBM" Marcos Jr. @bongbongmarcos! ✌️❤️❤️❤️✌️

@No2Quitting No. We used to be Duterte Creatives in 2016, a pool of 1,500 Artists, Influencers and Volunteers gathered by Ms. Elyne Villamor to campaign for then Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. She worked hand in hand with Sebastian Duterte. In 2022, We changed our name to People's Initiative PH.

As I reflect on the past elections in the Philippines, I can't help but admit that it was undoubtedly tumultuous and disheartening. The political atmosphere was saturated with rampant cancel culture.

Frustrated by the prevailing negativity, a few like-minded individuals and I sought refuge in the virtual world of Discord. We craved change for progress, unity, and hope. It was here, that the seeds of People's Initiative PH were planted. Thanks to my real life friends, Vince and Gil who stood by me during the cancel culture storm within our social circle. Ever since the Duterte Days in 2015, we've been united, recognizing the need for change.

In our Revamp Server Discord Community, we found solace in the diversity of perspectives. We encouraged healthy debates and discussions that challenged our beliefs, always striving to elevate the discourse rather than resorting to personal attacks. My heart is truly grateful to have met Ces, Vicay, Keisei, Mochi, Captain Gi, RD, Alexxa, Arthur, Rebel, Ren, Alim, JLBC, Aaron, Ash, Yoshi and Tita Marivel. With them, I have experienced the power of vulnerability, for we are free to share our hopes and fears without judgment.

On the 10th of May 2022, the Uniteam left an indelible mark on our lives. The air buzzed with excitement and hope as we celebrated the epic win of our candidates. It was pure joy as we celebrate the victory that was not just ours but of an entire nation. It was a triumph of unity. The feeling of overjoy was turned into a gathering that was sponsored by our fellow supporters all across social media from Facebook, Twitter and Discord, making the celebration all the more meaningful.

As I look back on what happened on July 02-03, 2022, it was in that moment that I felt that the pain of being cancelled by my real life friends and clients was part of the journey and that everything is gonna be okay. It wasn't just about the win, it was about the realization of our dreams for a better Philippines. The bonds were forged that day with the GMeet Girls namely Joy, Erinea and Maddie; with Georgina, iRhed, Dhars, Princess, Efren, Jayson, Dragonborn, Mamu and Tita Marlyn.

During my DDS Adventure Days, I had the opportunity to meet many remarkable individuals, starting with Sebastian Duterte, Sboi, Atty. Alexis, Jadey, the President himself, then Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Ate Sara, Loise, Direk Njel De Mesa, my Manila, Cebu and Davao DDS and Alyansang Duterte Bongbong (AlDuB) Friends during the 2016 Elections. Each encounter has enriched my experience and left a lasting impression on my heart. Last year, in my Uniteam Journey, I had the privilege to meet Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles @luminoustrix, Atty. Darwin Cañete @canete_darwin, Atty. Ferdie Topacio @YesYesYo13, Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. @AntonioParlade, Sass Rogando Sasot, Billy Jake Cortez @jakesonbourne, Ate Joie De Vivre @wipedoutseaweed, Kuya Mikko @kokolokoyph, Coach Jarret @coachjarret, Sangkay Janjan @johnanthony_j, Direk Darryl Yap, Shanwein @iamshanwein, Rein Antonio @reinchan29 , all whom are using their influence for the greater good.

Duterte Creatives became People's Initiative PH @officialpiph. And we grew. Our small group blossomed into a formidable force, united by our shared vision for a better Philippines. In the face of adversity, we emerged stronger, proving that the power of unity could triumph over the bitter divide that plagued our nation's political landscape.

We stand firm in our belief that change begins within each of us. We may not be able to alter the entire political climate, but by fostering understanding and embracing diversity, we can create pockets of positive change that ripple through our society.

The new spark started from the BBMSARA Victory Party meet and greet. Indeed, what a year it has been! Cheers to all the memories we've made this year and to the future success of our government yesterday, today and to all tomorrows that are yet to come! Mabuhay, Kabayan, Mabuhay!

Products of Dabawenyo cacao farmers are showcased at the Abreeza Ayala Mall in Davao City on Friday (July 7, 2023), in celebration of World Chocolate Day.

The three-day event features a chocolate trade exhibit that aims to strengthen the cacao market in the city and promote competitiveness among local producers.
