I’m sure there’s more nuance here, but why don’t artists simply downsize the venue?
Is it just an ROI thing or do artists have egos in the way preventing them from doing something smaller scale?
Kid Cudi recently canceled an Alabama show and, refreshingly, admitted the reason was low ticket sales. The bigger story here, IMO, is the lack of venue options for artists in non-major markets. Birmingham only has three (!) mid-size venues. Makes show booking very challenging.
I didn’t realize plain beeswax candles are so aromatic you don’t even have to light them to make a room smell like honey and apparently they release negative ions that pull dust and mold down from the air. So far, it’s the healthiest candle I’ve found.

The court ruled today in Brian Flores, Steve Wilks and Ray Horton’s ongoing discrimination case against the NFL that all the coaches’ respective claims that had previously been compelled to arbitration now can proceed in open court.
“The court’s decision recognizes that an arbitration forum in which the defendant’s own chief executive gets to decide the case would strip employees of their rights under the law,” said attorneys Douglas H. Wigdor and David E. Gottlieb. “It is long overdue for the NFL to recognize this and finally provide a fair, neutral and transparent forum for these issues to be addressed.”
