People have said we are in a “sex recession,” but what we have is much worse.

I’ve compared the sexual marketplace to the Gilded Age before. Not just because of the extreme inequality, but because of the social conditions that existed at the time.

The Gilded Age was marked by extreme wealth concentration and widespread poverty. You’ve heard of Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, and J.P. Morgan, the business tycoons who dominated their industries.

In today’s dating market, the equivalent of those tycoons would be “Chad.” The rest are the factory workers of the modern sexual marketplace—average men trying to form relationships under conditions that increasingly work against them. Yet their under-rewarded labor is what keeps the system going.

Because it’s not just the sexual marketplace. Many young men today struggle with extreme concentration in the economy and everyday life.

Whether it’s wealth, housing, careers, or relationships, society has shifted toward extreme concentration rather than broad participation.

The result is extreme wealth inequality, fewer relationships being formed, lower birth rates, and ultimately 90% of men being left out of the most critical aspects of life.

Young men aren’t just “sexless,” they’re disenfranchised. All while being expected to uphold a system that keeps working against them.

out of all the nostalgia compilations i’ve seen, this one comes the absolute closest to my childhood. growing up in the late 00s/early 2010s was such a blessing. it was the PEAK of the analog to digital transition. we still lived on physical media and “old” ways of doing things. before modernity settled in and changed beautiful colors to grey, beige, white, and black. :’)

We've all seen a video at one point of some smug asshole sitting in their car, ragebaiting a cop, saying "am i being detained, am i being detained, am i being detained" over and over again. Everyone understands that if the cop got triggered and tried to violently rip that smug asshole from his car, that would be BAD, and the COP WOULD BE IN THE WRONG. and if the cop SHOT THAT GUY IN THE FACE, it would be WORSE. Officers are not justified in doing whatever they want just because they "told you".

Simultaneously, everyone can understand, that if a cop was providing no ID, no indication of your rights, AND no indication of what crime you have even committed OR if you have even committed a crime, and attempted to detain you, that would be BAD and the COP WOULD BE IN THE WRONG AS WELL. If she had actually committed a crime, they have her license plate bro. She probably lives about 5 minutes away. You can go arrest her literally whenever you want. There is absolutely nothing time sensitive about this situation that required lethal force.

Everyone can understand that if a psycho in a mask tries ripping you out of your car, that you're probably gonna panic and you're probably going to try to escape that situation. Which is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. Nobody with eyes can look at this video and think anything other than "she was trying to flee". You cannot frame this as she tried to run him over, it's not possible, no human being with eyes will believe this. You look insane.

Unidentifiable men with questionable authority approach a vehicle. They’re part of a government force made up of untrained volunteers with a power fantasy and a reputation for human rights abuses.

A mother reacts to two of these armed men aggressively approaching her door to do literally “who knows what”. She reasonably panics and tries to book it.

Then this armed man casually walks in front of this vehicle that’s clearly attempting a maneuver to flee, and he does not move with any kind of urgency until he feels threatened.

Suddenly, he’s able to move quickly, draws his weapon, CLEARLY moves out of the path of danger, and while he’s outside of this path of danger, fires 3 bullets into her.

This is murder, and the fucking government is trying to tell you that your eyes can’t see.
