With hearts overflowing with profound gratitude to Almighty God, we write this to return all glory and honor to Him for sparing the life of our beloved Sylvia.

While no words can fully capture the shock and pain of this season, our greatest testimony is that God kept her safe in the hollow of His hand through an unimaginable tragedy.

On Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, while traveling to pick up a waybill concerning her wedding preparations, she was involved in a fatal multiple-vehicle accident along the Enugu/Onitsha expressway precisely at Ugwu-Onyeama that tragically claimed the lives of more than 10 persons.

A heavy-duty truck suffered a brake failure on that hilly stretch and crashed into several vehicles, including the 18-seater bus she was traveling in. The impact was devastating. Many passengers died on the spot some on their way to the hospital. Only a few survived.

Sylvia was immediately rushed to the Ark of Life Medical Center, Ngwo, where the medical team rallied around her and commenced emergency stabilization. The following day, a digital X-ray and CT scan revealed a severe pelvic shift, prompting an immediate referral to the National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu, for specialized surgical intervention.

The past two weeks have been an overwhelming and difficult season, but God has continued to strengthen us.

At the National Orthopedic Hospital, a multidisciplinary team of experts including gynecologists, urologists, physiotherapists, radiologists, plastic and Orthopedic surgeons were assembled to evaluate her thoroughly. Medical assessments indicated the necessity for urgent surgeries.

We are so grateful to share that her last major surgeries yesterday were completely successful! She is currently resting and recovering well, and we are eagerly looking forward to her full healing and return to normal activities.
