Happy Birthday Phil Anselmo!
Phil and Duff McKagan joined Alice in Chains at Hard Rock’s Etess Arena in Atlantic City, NJ March 10, 2006 to perform “Would?”
Cantrell dedicated the show to Staley and Dimebag Darrell.
The concert was part of Decades Rock Live! honoring Heart.
It takes faith to leave it alone. When you take your hands off and you let God take care of it, that’s not a lack of faith; that’s great faith. When you can say, “God, I trust You with my weeds. I trust You with things I don’t understand. I’m not going to get in a hurry and try to fix things that will damage my harvest. I’m going to leave it alone.” That’s a powerful position.
Stephen "Kiki" Ramos just made history as the first player of Haitian descent to get called up to Argentina's U-17 national team. He plays for the club Vélez Sarsfield and earned his spot by scoring 12 goals.
But instead of celebrating, many Argentine fans are attacking him with horrible racist comments online. Some are saying a Black person can never play for Argentina, and others are making cruel threats about throwing bananas at him. Argentina has a long history of racism, and Black/Afro-Argentines are still fighting for basic human rights today. This hate will make it very hard for Stephen to move up to the senior team.
It’s very upsetting to see, especially given how much support the Argentina national team get worldwide. The Argentina national team is loved globally, including by many Haitians, so it’s disappointing to see some Argentinians acting like this toward a young Black player online.
If Argentina doesn’t want him, the door is still open for him in Haiti. Haiti is rebuilding its national team and bringing in Haitian diaspora players from around the world. A player like Stephen would be a big boost for the team.
