Today a righteous man was killed by the most wicked army on earth. Khaled Nabhan who we watched bid farewell to his beloved Reem, the soul of our soul, has joined her in the realm of souls where the wickedness of this so called humanity will no longer reach them. A man who seemed too good to be here. I longed for the day to meet him in person. The youngest member of New Zealand’s parliament, Māori Party MP Hana-Rawhiti Kareariki Maipi-Clarke, started a haka to protest the first vote on a contentious bill that would reinterpret a 184-year-old treaty between the British and Indigenous Maori.

The parliament was briefly suspended on Thursday after the protest.

First signed in 1840 between the British Crown and more than 500 Maori chiefs, the Treaty of Waitangi lays down how the two parties agreed to govern. The interpretation of clauses in the document still guides legislation and policy today.

Why won't Canada also condemn the anti-Palestinian racism of the racist Israeli soccer hooligans who instigated violent brawls with genocidal chants of “there are no schools in Gaza because there are no children left”, “Let the IDF win to fuck the Arabs” and “Fuck you Palestine”?

The one-sided narrative, which compares a violent street brawl to antisemitic pogroms during the Holocaust, is completely inappropriate and whitewashes the anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian bigotry of Maccabi Tel Aviv, a notoriously racist far-right football team whose fans have violently assaulted people with Palestine flags. This narrative is being used to cast suspicion on pro-Palestine demonstrators around the world as potential security threats.

A completely irresponsible response from Canada, which will give further fuel to anti-Palestinian bigotry in this country.

Yet another incident of police violence against Indigenous in Canada. Monday morning twin brothers Joshua and Garrett Papigatuk were shot by Nunavik Police Service in Salluit, Quebec. They were unarmed.
Joshua is dead. Garrett was medivaced out in serious condition. Community members protested in Salluit yesterday denouncing the killings. There is an epidemic of systemic violence via police/RCMP in this country that is largely unchecked.
