there is no “secret” you just gotta commit to discipline and routine. mix of lifts and steady, consistent cardio and then a caloric deficit. it’s really just that.
cut out/down on alc, fast food, processed foods & sugars. more fruit, protein, water.
I think one of the saddest things about modern childhood is the loss of cartoons as inheritance. I grew up watching Scooby-Doo reruns decades after it first aired. Kids today have more content than ever, but perhaps less shared cultural inheritance across generations.
The sentiment will always be the same.
Just about everyone I’ve ever spoken to has had a complicated relationship with him. He evoked a lot of pressure and fear in his employees—a tough boss with crazy expectations and an enormous amount of power.
What’s crazy to me is watching people come away from the documentary using words like “pedophile” and calling for him to be in jail. There’s an important distinction between what is actually established and what has been fragmented, speculated on, or exaggerated online. A lot of what gets repeated about him online has gone far beyond what people who actually knew and worked with him have told me.
He’s become a scapegoat for a lot of conversations he shouldn’t be the center of. And in my opinion, far too much energy is being spent on the wrong things.
I’ve had some really interesting conversations over the years with people who loathe Dan and have spent 10,000+ hours around him. Their experiences are complicated, too. One person put it to me perfectly: “As strongly as I feel about Dan, all the internet rumors about him are way beyond the pale and, to my knowledge, totally untrue. No one deserves that stuff. It’s awful. Truly.”
Someone can be an awful person to work for without being guilty of every accusation made against them.
He may not have treated his employees fairly, and there are legitimate criticisms to make about the culture and pressure he created. But he also took many of his actors under his wing, cared about them beyond the workplace, and had genuine personal relationships with people who have complicated feelings about him.
You can have serious, legitimate reasons to dislike someone and still recognize when the story being told about them has gone beyond what you actually know.
Those distinctions matter
"Physical revenues jumped 25.9%, powered by 17.7% vinyl growth and a 58.6% increase in CDs"
Everyone still spreading the "nobody buys physical" lie is either blind or acting in bad faith to defend lying corpos like Sony. No other way about it.

Yes, streaming was a mistake.
A movie can disappear overnight, picture quality depends on your internet connection, and subscriptions keep getting more expensive.
With a DVD, Blu-ray or 4K UHD, you own your movie. No ads, no surprise removals, no ever-changing catalog.
Support physical media 🖤
PlayStation in 2026:
- End Destiny
- End physical gaming forever
- End porting exclusives to PC
- Completely lose Hideo Kojima
- Attempt to cancel Kojima's next Metal Gear franchise
- Kojima cuts ties entirely and goes to XBOX
- Force your single-player studios to make live service games
- Concord happens
- Proceed to cancel most of them, losing years of development time and billions of dollars
- Buy Bluepoint and have them make a live-service rather than remakes
- Close Bluepoint down before they release any games
- Start selling vertical stands separately rather than have them come with the console
- Console prices at an all-time high
Genuinely... what is going on at Sony. disaster after disaster, huge L after L. They were my favorite gaming company throughout the PS4 generation but genuinely, how do you lose EVERYONE this fast? Meanwhile, XBOX is taking full advantage of this and priming a major comeback next generation. A literal generational fumble happening at Sony.
Studio Ghibli chairman Toshio Suzuki says Hayao Miyazaki doesn’t even know what generative AI is.
Suzuki also criticized AI-generated animation as uninteresting and says Miyazaki’s artistic expression cannot be replicated by AI or CG.
So let me get this straight.
If I buy a physical copy of a game at the store, I'll be able to install it on my Xbox and play without the disc. If it's play anywhere I can play it on my PC or ROG Xbox Ally.
If I'm traveling I can play it on the cloud on my laptop or phone. My game is available to me anywhere I go to enjoy AND when the kids want to play, I can just hand them the disc a decade from now.
Real talk, I don't see why I would buy my games anywhere else.
It’s the exact same script.
They’re all reading from the EXACT SAME SCRIPT.
“It’s just a tool.”
“If you don’t adapt, you’ll get left behind.”
The commercial music industry dates back 500 years. We’ve never had trouble creating music without AI.
The nonsense is propaganda.
My biggest question is how does Sony think they can convert the remaining 50% who still buy physical to digital. They might save money on not having to print discs, but the people at home buying physical will just save money by not buying PlayStation products.
Video games are a luxury item, not a necessity. I feel the biggest consequence this will have is that people reevaluating their purchasing habits.
Cause I know I aint buying a PS6 or a single PlayStation game after January 2028.
My plans for PlayStation:
- Purchase physical games I want until they stop making them
- Continue to not pay for PS Plus
- Skipping PS6 if no disc drive
- Buy all third party games on Switch 2 and PC after 2028. Third parties are more committed to multi-platform these days.
I have an important message for you. This affects ALL OF US !!!
Over the past few days we made our frustration with PlayStation very clear. We flooded their posts with comments, and we cannot stop now. We need to keep applying pressure on every single post they make until promoting games on their own social media becomes a problem for them.
But there’s one more thing I want to ask you.
I know it’s difficult. I know many of you only have a PlayStation to play on. I’m not stupid, I understand that. But as a community, we need to send Sony a message and the best way to do that is with our actions, not just our words.
If you can, cancel your PS Plus subscription. Stop buying games from the PlayStation Store. Use your console offline whenever possible.
It’s not enough to protest or leave angry comments. We have to back up our words with action. That’s the only language corporations truly understand. If PlayStation is your only way to play and you don’t want to give that up, then keep playing. No one is asking you to stop enjoying your hobby. But if you have another option, avoid buying games from the PS Store. If you have the choice, buy physical copies instead. If you can play without PS Plus, cancel it.
This isn’t just for me or for physical collectors. It’s for all of us. Whether you buy digital or physical, we are all gamers. We all deserve better consumer rights and the freedom to choose a format instead of having that choice taken away.
Please understand that this affects every single one of us. The more control Sony has over pricing and distribution, the easier it becomes for them to raise prices in the future. And let’s be honest, nobody wants to pay more for the exct same content.
If we want things to change, we have to stand together. Our actions today will determine what choices we still have tomorrow. Let’s stop fighting each other and start making a difference as a community. Stand together!!
Thank you
Best Regards

During today's earnings call Sony for the first time in a month reacted to the backlash against their attack on physical media. And it went about the way we expected. Let's analyze it.
(Disclaimer: We are going off of the official English translation in the clip provided. It wasn't that long of a statement, but there might be minor inaccuracies in there.)
First of all, they seem to emphasize that 18 months ahead of time is a respectable period to give notice. No comment on the fact that basically everyone was surprised by their announcement coming this soon, while PS5 is still going strong.
Then they dive into the reasons. They claim there are "various", the biggest one being that "digitalization of contents overall has been progressing". This is a clear shift in language. Initially, they blamed it directly on consumer habits. We've shown how that reasoning doesn't fully hold up when looking at the numbers.
Then they claim that digitalization does not only impact PlayStation, but "all kinds of content". And that is true. It has been on the rise for quite some years now. At the same time, this conveniently ignores any and all counter trends in recent years. It is a statement that makes it sound like their direction is inevitable on a global scale. But their direction is absolute. Their goal is to kill physical media entirely for games, while basically all other major entertainment sectors have at least a strong niche remaining, with various indicators that physical media is actually growing again. The recent Capcom report saw a 133 % rise compared to the same period of last year. The overall spending is up for physical games compared to the previous year (admittedly, aided by the Switch 2 release). Sony's own physical split last quarter is up, both compared to the quarter before and the same period last year. More and more signs point to a stable plateau of physical buyers at the very least.
The call continues and they drop the big one. A few seconds of stuttering followed by, "We put in a lot of thought and time, and we cautiously considered this, and we came to this conclusion, and we are cautiously going to move this forward."
They are not really giving any insights here. It is a "trust me, bro" in business speak. At the same time, if we take these words at face value, it means they are aware of the consequences, but do it anyway.
Endangering retailers across the globe by removing one of the biggest entertainment brands from the portfolio? Fuck them.
Removing a choice for consumers who were loyal to the PlayStation brand? Fuck them.
Stripping developers of an additional revenue stream and the chance to immortalize their art? Fuck them.
Forcing all remaining customers into an ecosystem without customer protection legislation? Fuck them too.
What thoughts did they put in exactly?
The only word that might give hope is "cautiously". But even that could be read in two ways. Either they are more cautious not to spark more backlash, but they want to continue regardless. Or they are actually waking up to the fact that this might cause more harm to them than they initially anticipated.
They follow up with "to this decision we have received various opinions and people have strong views" and how games are loved and connected to memories. The speaker claims that they "understand those emotions". Really?
Why are they calling it emotions when there is a long list of legitimate criticism entirely rooted in facts, though? Because they don't want to acknowledge the facts. Sony tries to paint the backlash as emotional without substance. As completely unfounded in anything tangible.
After this bit, they immediately continue to starting damage control for the future and start talking about the "future digital ecosystem". Again, in a manner that makes it sound without an alternative. "How do we engage the gamers, is something we would like to continue to explore", they say. What is that supposed to mean, you ask? It's entirely talking about how they can continue to boil the frog. This part of the statement was not revolving around giving customers anything. Our best guess is that it is the attempt to indirectly address the monopoly criticism, and that there is no customer protection in an all-digital future, and that customers will be entirely at the mercy of the platform with zero control over purchased goods.
With this statement the clip concludes. The overall tone remained. Cold, distant, no real explanations, no apologies for the past weeks either.
But they did get a message. It had some impact. They ran damage control here. 100 % confidence would look different. But they won't correct course for now.
It is up to us to continue. If anything, we need to step it up now. #PSBlackout is just one of those steps. Many more need to be taken. This needs a collective effort from all gamers, regardless of how you like to play your games.

A lot of people are criticizing that the #PSBlackout is “only a week.” Here’s why that’s the point.
An indefinite boycott is almost impossible to sustain and hard for Sony to measure cleanly amid normal fluctuations. A sharp, coordinated one-week dip (Aug 23–30: no logins, no play, no purchases) gives them a clear baseline they can actually compare to regular weeks.
It’s a visible warning shot — a preview of what a permanent exit in 2028 looks like — not an attempt to bankrupt them in seven days. Short and focused maximizes real participation. Longer just dilutes the signal and makes it easier to ignore.
Many of us also still want to support physical games; sitting out forever risks proving their point that discs aren’t worth it.
This is about sending a clear, measurable message that we won’t quietly accept losing ownership and physical media. Beyond complaining online. If you care about that too, join the blackout.
Despite Sony’s push toward an all-digital future, most PS5 owners still prefer a console with a disc drive.
According to Ampere Analysis:
>73% of PS5 owners worldwide have a disc-drive model
>only 27% own a Digital Edition.
>In 2024, 55% of PS5 consoles sold included a disc drive, compared to 45% for digital-only models.
Disgaea creator Sohei Niikawa says that if PlayStation is going to abandon physical games, Sony “may as well eliminate the hardware too.”
Speaking to Noisy Pixel at Anime Expo 2026, Niikawa said physical games are much more than a way to play.
“I think physical editions of games are very important. For fans, being able to keep a game they love as an object can have a great deal of value. It becomes a memory or a keepsake connected to something that matters to them.”
“The executives who decided it have probably never experienced coming to an event like Anime Expo and having someone approach them with a physical game to ask for an autograph.”
“If they’re going to go as far as eliminating physical packages, they may as well eliminate the hardware too. A television would be enough. Why would you need the console?”
