NIGERIA AT 66: OUR FUTURE IS IN OUR HANDS
Fellow Nigerians,
Today, as we celebrate the 66th anniversary of our independence, I congratulate Nigerians at home and across the world.
Independence Day is not only a day for celebration. It is also a time to reflect on where we are, where we want to be, and what we must do to get there.
Nigeria is blessed with enormous human and natural resources. Yet, too many of our people are living with insecurity, poverty, unemployment, hunger and inadequate access to quality education and healthcare.
This should concern every Nigerian, particularly those entrusted with leadership.
We cannot continue to accept a situation where our children are out of school, farmers cannot safely access their farms, young people struggle to find opportunities, and communities are displaced by insecurity.
As echoed by our Presidential
Candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi, Nigeria must move from consumption to production.
We must invest in our people, especially our young population. We must make education a priority, support agriculture and industry, empower entrepreneurs and create an environment where hard work can translate into prosperity.
Security must also remain a fundamental responsibility of government. Nigerians deserve to live, farm, trade and raise their families without fear.
All through my time as a student union leader, parliamentarian, minister and governor, I have always believed that leadership must be measured by results, not by promises.
Our people deserve a government that is accountable, disciplined and focused on improving their lives.
Nigeria is not without problems, but neither is Nigeria without solutions. What we need is the courage, competence and commitment to implement those solutions.
On this Independence Day, let us renew our faith in Nigeria and our determination to build a country that provides opportunity for every citizen, regardless of where they come from.
A new and productive Nigeria is POssible, and it shall be OK with our country.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria and its people.
Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. - RMK

ACCEPTANCE OF NEW ASSIGNMENT AS POLITICAL ADVISER, NORTHERN NIGERIA
His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi,
Leaders, Stakeholders and Members of the Obidient Movement
Obidient House
Life Camp, Abuja
Your Excellency, Distinguished Leaders and Fellow Obidients,
With deep gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose, I write to formally accept my new assignment as Political Adviser, Northern Nigeria, to His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi.
I am honoured by the confidence placed in me. As we approach the 2027 general elections, the North remains central to our collective aspiration for a New Nigeria. In this role, I will contribute to political engagement, mobilisation and coordination efforts across the region. I will work alongside our structures, stakeholders, communities and supporters to help deepen engagement, strengthen our presence and broaden the base of our movement in furtherance of the political project of our leader, Mr Peter Obi.
Building on a strong foundation
This new assignment builds on the work we have done together over the past two years, during which I had the privilege of serving as National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement.
A central focus of that period was strengthening the Movement's organisational structure and institutional framework. We established a National Advisory Council to deepen strategic engagement and to move the Movement beyond election-cycle activism toward a lasting institution.
Together, we achieved significant milestones, including:
- A truly national presence: the Movement now operates in all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
- **Regional leadership: we developed five Regional Coordinators and one Regional Collegiate Council.
- Structures down to the grassroots:** we built coordination structures across the 37 state coordination areas and all 774 Local Government Areas.
- Digital mobilisation: we developed https://t.co/vpVLNed61E, a platform for mobilisation, engagement and recruitment with the capacity to support the mobilisation of millions of Nigerians.
- Protecting the vote: we developed an IReV-related election-results monitoring system designed to provide real-time updates from polling units across the country.
- Community engagement: we strengthened grassroots structures and expanded the Movement's engagement with communities, stakeholders and support groups across Nigeria.
These are only some of the milestones achieved through the collective efforts of our leaders, coordinators, volunteers and supporters. Whatever progress we made was a collective effort, and whatever challenges we encountered gave all of us important lessons. That foundation will serve as a strong springboard for the work ahead in the North.
Continuity in national coordination
This new role will require my full attention and presence across Northern Nigeria. I am therefore pleased that Dr Moses Paul (Dr Mo) now takes up the role of National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement. He will give the national coordination the daily attention, energy and inclusiveness that this critical period demands.
Dr Mo has been part of the Movement's journey from the start. He has shown commitment to civic engagement, grassroots mobilisation, communication and the broader struggle for a New Nigeria. I congratulate him warmly and have every confidence that his experience and understanding of the Movement will serve us well as we enter an even more demanding phase of our work. He has my full support, and I urge every leader, coordinator and volunteer to give him the same.
Appreciation
I sincerely thank His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi, for his trust and leadership. I also appreciate every leader, volunteer, coordinator, supporter and ordinary Nigerian who has worked with me over these two years. Your sacrifice, commitment and belief in a better Nigeria made everything we achieved possible.
Our shared mission
The Obidient Movement unequivocally condemns the wasteful expenditure on Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT's month-long aimless stay in France while millions of Nigerians remain trapped in poverty, hunger, insecurity and a devastating cost of living crisis.
After spending approximately one month enjoying the comforts of Europe, Tinubu has finally returned to Nigeria, a country whose worsening challenges have continued in his absence.
It is ironical that he finds it trite to escape to foreign countries in the name of undeserved vacations, while abandoning Nigeria, a country he has deliberately continued to impoverish. His return, however, changes nothing for Nigerians whose daily struggle for survival has become a defining feature of his heartless and sadistic regime.
Reports by APC chieftain, Káyọ̀dé Ogúndámísí, indicate that Tinubu and his delegation reportedly operated from The Peninsula Paris, one of France’s most luxurious hotels, where a Grand Premier Suite is listed at approximately €7,550 per night, including taxes and fees.
At an estimated ₦12 million per night, the cost of a single suite could reach ₦360 million over 30 nights. Other rooms reportedly cost thousands of euros per night, raising further questions about the total accommodation bill.
Knowing Tinubu’s extravagant and gluttonous lifestyle, it would not be surprising if accommodation bills alone ran into tens of billions of naira. When you add the cost of feeding, fueling presidential jets, Tinubu’s foreign medical expenses and other wasteful expenses, one can only imagine how much of Nigerian taxpayers’ money was wasted on a trip that benefited ONLY Tinubu.
At a time when Nigerians cannot afford basic healthcare, what justification does Tinubu have for such extravagant expenditure?
The resources reportedly committed to this trip could have been channelled into essential public services, including the construction and equipping of primary healthcare centres and the provision of ambulances to communities where access to emergency medical care remains a serious challenge.
The estimated cost of this trip, as reflected in the headline comparison, could have funded twenty primary healthcare centres and provided 100 ambulances. These are not luxuries. They are essential facilities and services that save lives, particularly in rural communities where pregnant women, accident victims and critically ill patients often face agonising delays in accessing medical attention.
Yet, instead of prioritising the welfare of Nigerians, this sadistic regime continues to preside over a culture of extravagant public expenditure while demanding endless sacrifice from citizens.
Nigerians are being asked to endure economic hardship, pay more for basic necessities and make do with deteriorating public infrastructure, even as the government continues to squander the same resources on frivolities and Tinubu’s pregnancy cravings.
We demand that Tinubu immediately provide a comprehensive breakdown of the total cost of his month-long trip to France, including accommodation, aircraft operations, security, transportation, feeding and all other expenses incurred by the presidential delegation.
The Presidency must also disclose the specific benefits Nigeria has gained from the trip and provide verifiable evidence of any agreements, investments or commitments secured.
It is unacceptable that Nigerians should be left guessing about the cost of presidential luxury while the government remains silent on the resources expended. Public funds belong to the Nigerian people, and Tinubu has a constitutional and moral obligation to account for every naira spent in their name.
Tinubu must understand that public office is a responsibility, not an entitlement to unlimited luxury at taxpayers’ expense. Nigerians cannot continue to bear the cost of a heartless government that demands sacrifice from the people while displaying little regard for the judicious use of public resources.
A government that can afford luxury in Paris but cannot guarantee basic healthcare at home has its priorities fundamentally misplaced.
Nigerians deserve hospitals, ambulances, jobs, roads, security and a decent standard of living, not extravagant and wasteful presidential trips funded by public resources. Nigerians deserve BETTER.
Nigeria must be OK.

Another 28th of September in my life—a special 🎂, but also a reminder of our commitment to the struggle to make Nigeria a better country.

@AnambraNewMedia Show us evidence that he committed fraud.
How can he be the one owing salary when there have been a government before this sitting government? Cheap blackmail.
These are Nigerians in 2026 while the junketting junkie Tinubu @officialABAT is in France spending 11 million Naira per night in a luxury hotel and has done so for 22 days now.
Meanwhile there are retarded Nigerians abroad and disposable slaves in Nigeria who support the government.
This can't be life in 2026.
The Constitution in section 145 says after 21 days;
if the President fails or is unable to transmit the declaration within 21 days.National Assembly mandates the Vice-President as Acting President by a simple majority vote in each house.
The question is. Where's Vice president? and I can bet this rubber stamp assembly will never convene over the absence of the President.
