I don't believe in venture studios
@naval sums it up perfectly here that the scarce resource in startups isn't ideas or capital which is what venture studios provide
its entrepreneurs who are motivated to slog through the idea maze to solve a problem they're obsessed with
importantly, an idea that isn't yours is inherently less motivating than an idea that is
the best entrepreneurs aren't mercenaries like this, so they almost never do venture studios
I really like how Arsenal run their social media pages. Multiple opportunities to throw shades at rival clubs that wouldn't hesitate to do the same at the slightest opportunity, but we choose to be classy everytime.
Noni Madueke wins the penalty before Harry Kane put England in front.
Declan Rice assisted from a corner to put England back in front.
Bukayo Saka comes off the bench and sets up Marcus Rashford to seal the win.
The Arsenal boys have done it for England.
It’s what they do. Easy. 🏴
> Thomas Tuchel on Arsenal's players set-piece threat:
"When you watch Arsenal closely, you realise their set-pieces are not luck, they're an art form. Every movement is rehearsed, every block is timed, every player knows exactly where the ball will arrive. What impresses me most is the commitment of the players. They treat a corner in the 5th minute with the same importance as a penalty in the 95th.
Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and the other Arsenal boys bring that mentality into the England camp. They understand the details. They understand that trophies are often decided by moments, and set-pieces create those moments.
Modern football is about margins. Arsenal have turned those margins into a weapon. You can spend all week preparing for their open play, but if you switch off for one corner or one free-kick, they punish you. That's why they are so dangerous and why every coach in Europe studies them."
— Thomas Tuchel
Literally carrying English football on our back at club and international level for both men and women, yet we get zero thanks from bitter ungrateful journalists. Sad state of affairs.
‘Bukayo Saka: The Time Is Now’, will stream on Disney+ from June 5.
🗣️ “This film has given me the chance to tell my story in a way I never have before. People see the goals & the matches, but they don’t see what it takes behind the scenes.”
