and all to do with the cultural state those words exist in in a given moment of time and place, ig. after all, the same bully's words said to me today are laughable, but cutting as a kid. and since law is slow and stupid, we would be trapping ourselves by legislating against it bc you can't enforce cultural conditions in which the words exist without a lot of other things being enforced too. a pickle. but not the fault of the words themselves.
@NotPerrysBoobs so true. perhaps then, there is this underlying need for "someone to be held responsible" for speech, and to not own a change in one's self, but reflect one's influences as scapegoat.
