he finally sent an actual technician instead of the caretaker flipping it off and on

screenshot came back: an unknown device is pinging the router ~19 times a minute

it's not broken. Lol someone's messing with the owner

a while back i tried running a 7b model locally. even that was heavy on my mac air.

then it hits me that the largest models out there are around 2 trillion params.

One i could barely run, the other is ~300x bigger and just....served, casually, to anyone.

the scale factor is what gets me!
