get you a partner that doesn’t mind hurting people’s feelings when it comes to you. imma say it again. GET YOU A PARTNER THAT DOESN’T MIND HURTING PEOPLE’S FEELINGS WHEN IT COMES TO YOU.
Anastasia (1997) remains a rare kind of animated magic. Don Bluth left Disney years before making it, yet the film rivaled their Renaissance era so strongly that many still mistake it for one.
i tend to not text back when i’m not in an ok mood. this could last from hours to days. i don’t care if you see me on social media ...i don’t want conversation.
"you're too picky"
His morals will raise my children. His hands will protect my home. His heart will nurture mine when I'm hurting.
You’re not picky enough
Cardi B said, ‘I cried for 300 days last year and nobody checked on me.’
And that hit home. Because this past year, I cried more than I ever have in my life. Silent tears, heavy tears, tears nobody saw but God. I carried heartbreak, loneliness, and the weight of trying to hold everything together on my own but managed to get through it.😮💨yes over it bit ill never forget it even a apology/closure wouldn’t fix what had been done but i didnt get that..
NEVA AGAIN‼️
I think this is a put on.
But it’s just close enough to a manager I had once that I’m not entirely sure.
My manager was on the East Coast, I was on the West Coast. She pinged the corporate instant messaging every 15 minutes for updates.
I was a software QA person and she felt she needed 15 minute updates, those updates would then require lengthy explanation. Then she was upset that the project was slowing down.
One day I was in a really productive 2 hour meeting with a bunch of corporate brass and she sent an administrative assistant into the meeting to demand I answer her phone call and instant messages.
I was in the middle of a presentation and my computer was presenting a PowerPoint on the big screen in the conference room.
I asked the admin to transfer the call into the conference room, and minimized PowerPoint displaying my full laptop screen, then opened instant messaging.
A whole string of increasingly nasty messages scrolled up the big screen just as one of the brass answered the call.
She was screaming at me. I told her I was in the meeting she’d scheduled me to present our results in. She said that meeting had been cancelled since no one showed up. Then she said, “I should fire you for lying to me and ignoring my messages.”
I said, “I accept your termination of my employment effective immediately.”
Then she tried to backtrack and my reply was, “Since you said it, you’ve decided to terminate me, and I don’t feel like waiting for your inconvenient timing.”
I left the room, turned in my badge, and left the building.
Walking down the hall from the conference room, hearing the top brass of the company explaining time zones was wonderful.
I’d already been looking for a new job so it wasn’t a big deal.
Several years later, one of those execs joined a company I was working for. He recognized me and started laughing. “That was the most epic job quit I’ve ever seen. Leaving your computer open and unlocked let us review her instant messages, we talked to other members of your department saw the pattern, and fired her ‘with cause’ immediately.”
That guy & I worked together for the next 5 years. We released a number of award winning products in that time.
Micromanagement is real and non productive. Stand up meetings every day are pointless unless something is really wrong and you’re trying to save a project. Middle managers often produce more trouble than solutions.
Yes, I’d like to have a nice simple job, but I do not miss corporate games or petty middle management.
i cannot fuck with people who, when they’re mad they say extremely hurtful things but when they calm down they want to backtrack and say they didn't mean it. YES, YOU DID. STAND ON IT.
