X recently open-sourced its algorithm on GitHub. I spent an evening reading the code and built an interactive visualizer to show how a post spreads through the network.

Here is what the actual ranking weights show:

• A copy-link share = 20.0
• A like = 0.5
• Mutual replies = 5.0 → 20.0

Two other interesting details:
• Only original posts can leave your follower graph (this is enforced in 3 separate places).
• There is no external-link penalty anywhere in the code.

Madrid Barajas is an excellent airport.

Take a train that gets you directly to the airport for 5 EUR, or a taxi for 33 EUR flat fee, which stops in front of the terminal, instead of Uber which you never know how much will cost and nobody knows where it stops.

Have an awesome meal for 15 EUR made from natural ingredients or, if you wish, a gourmet Michelin style dinner

Take en elevator directly to your gate instead of walking for miles.

Ride an underground train from T4 to T4S in a few minutes, instead of a packed shuttle bus.

Connect to wifi that is free and unlimited across all terminals, instead of trading your email for 30 minutes.

Take a free luggage trolley instead of hunting for a coin. They’re in every terminal, every area.

Refill your bottle at a free fountain instead of paying airport prices for the same water.

For the record: Madrid Barajas Airport is the worst airport for a major world city. To get from the drop-off (which Ubers need to line up for 10 minutes to reach) to the gate, you will:

1. Walk around a mile

2. Go up and down no fewer than EIGHT unusually slow escalators, take two elevators, and ride a janky shuttle train.

3. Decipher bizarre signage that leaves people standing around in bewilderment asking each other for help

4. Meander through a mall where the signs to the gates are deliberately obscured.

5. Line up and scan your passport twice at automatic machines that mostly don't work.

6. Line up and show your passport to an immigration officer anyway.

And God forbid you have a transfer! You will need to do all that twice!

You can forgive JFK or LAX for being bad; they were built in the 1950s. But this was built in 2006. Avoid.

My first "holy shit" moment with GPT-6 Astra:

I asked it to create a world in Unreal Engine, and fill it with humans (each an Astra-powered agent) who all have to work together to survive.

A day later, I was in my bedroom and heard voices coming from the living room... I thought someone was in my apartment.

I walked out, honestly a little scared.
