It’s #batappreciationday and #batoftheweek to remind us of the important roles bats play. These Cynopterus sphinx were caught in Thailand, one adult and a juvenile.
It’s also a great opportunity to remind people there is no definitive proof #coronavirus came from #bats
even if this does come to light, undisturbed bats pose no threat to people!! Humans and bats have coexisted for thousands of years. Please check facts before spreading harmful opinions, some communities are now burning bats alive out of fear.
On Friday, April 17 at 19:00h EDT, Dr. Ulmar Grafe @BruneiGrafe from the Universiti Brunei Darussalam @ubdbuzz will be talking about #Borneo's #biodiversity in the BIST @vtbist seminar via
zoom (Meeting ID # 8353740395). Everybody is welcome to join.
