@STGshmups I honestly like the 7 art style the most and I like how the big sprites makes the action a bit narrow and tighter (not tighter as in responsive controls, but narrower ceilings and jumps)
@FantasyAnime Climax entertainment didn't do Shining Force 2 and CD so the portraits look a bit different, the art style in Shining Force 1 looks a lot like Landstalker...
@MemoryCardFiles Such a beautiful and timeless game, glad we finally got over the "Sonic Adventure was never good" phase and it's finally getting its due.
@LuckyVeruca Wouldn't load in larger textures, the game is already compressed to hell. Even if it did the N64 has double the PS1's RAM anyway and isn't really powerful enough to shove 4MBs of extra textures through its already limiting RAMBUS memory.
@PandaKingEX While I agree with this I do think outsider perspectives are valuable, most genres emerge out of people hating something and wanting to try something else. Nonetheless, there is an emerging trend of people being hired out of the liberal arts sphere to make things out of malice.
