@RMTFKR11 @ZELLKLUMPEN That's untrue. In the U.S., maternal mortality for adolescents under 15 is rare and is in the range of tens per 100,000 live births, not "70%." You do not have a 70% chance of death. That's not even true in the poorest regions of the world so not sure where you got that number.

@AWULgarity Yes but it's hard because if they pass their tests they get their degrees anyway. I think most of the worst ones end up becoming schoolteachers and whatnot, but I have certainly worked with some terrible biologists through the years.

Whenever other biologists make bizarrely wrong pro-abortion claims, I remember how ✨no one✨ else in one of my bio labs knew where the head of a crawfish was, and instead of killing them humanely for a dissection they all cut the tails off and left them alive and in agony.

@turnedwife Apparently they had never eaten shellfish ever either?! All of them were like "why is it still moving?" and I had to walk around stabbing their crawfish through the head with a scalpel.

It was a bit depressing. This was a decent private university too.

Perhaps those same students gained some sense later, but the fact that they didn't intuitively know where the head was (or had the sense to consult a chart) doesn't inspire confidence.

@Prolife_Texan__ I am against it, my stepdaughter is 18 and I'm trying very hard to keep her off any BC, especially anything hormonal, as long as possible. She sees how I was harmed by 16 years of it and gets it. I'm now super against getting teens on hormonal BC, we're ruining their hormones

@KristinForLife Yes! I ended up buying a dress directly from a Ukrainian designer for this reason. All the gowns available in the US are way more casual and unnecessarily sexy compared to what's available in Europe. You, for now, can still find more elegance and class in European designers.
