Will be graduating from @sheffielduni in January with a distinction. Not bad completing a masters whilst working full time! Loved the course Language and communication impairment in children.
Any chance of answering the phone or replying to my dm? Absolutely horrendous not answering the phone. Never known a company this bad at customer service!
@jet2tweets need to change a flight (we are currently on holiday) to get home earlier. Can’t do this on the app and have been on hold for 1hr30 yesterday and no sign of being answered this morning. 5 min job!
@TTSResources hi, I’ve ordered these trays for my outdoor area. The lids have holes in - do you do plugs to fit the holes so that they can stay outside permanently? Otherwise shouldn’t be advertised as outside tray. Thanks, Olivia
Looking for advice on how to plan a nurture based curriculum. If you could point me in the right direction for any resources, websites, books etc I’d be so grateful.
Currently using Black Sheep Press Speaking and Listening through Narrative for my English planning. It has been amazing and the children have made so much progress! Can anyone recommend similar resources that can be adapted for English planning please?
@sjbslt I work with the most amazing speech and language therapist in our srp. Could not function or live without her. She is calm, positive and nothing is ever too much trouble. She isn’t on Twitter but she deserves a mention!
@JohnLavender5 @NAPLIC Depends on the role but a big focus of my interview was inclusion. The children move between the srp and mainstream and ensuring that they are fully included in all areas of school life was seen as an important consideration. Good luck!
Spending my Easter break writing my MSc diss and I have found speaking to parents who have a child with DLD so interesting. So many themes for me to draw on. Can’t wait to get stuck in and share my findings!
After Easter, we are spending a week teaching ‘Who’ using a variety of different resources. Has anyone got any wonderful ideas to help children to develop this concept please?
Looking for some advice from SLTs please! Child with DLD has not been attending. Won’t engage with any work or therapy via Teams. Are there any language apps/websites that could support him? Don’t want to always encourage use of iPad but we are desperate!
