I wouldn’t read too much into it, I think he’s being more literal in the sense they can’t play the team game, not anything more than that. It’s very easy to over analyse but it’s not criticising the job Charles did, just saying it’ll be tricky to win without playing the team game.
@CL16_inside Stupid comment. If he stayed out he would’ve been on cold hard tyres which would’ve been even harder to switch back on than the softs. Ferrari made the right call.
@ToastyHarder@InvertTheWing I’m aware but how can you define it as deliberate? His arm was straight, not bent, if it was deliberate it would’ve been bent.
@GD5496119@InvertTheWing Then why are you failing to understand he didn’t swing his arm? He extended it to shield the ball and unfortunately he caught Spence, doesn’t mean there was malicious intent behind it, shielding the ball is one of the basics of football.
@GD5496119@InvertTheWing He didn’t throw an elbow though? He just tried to stand his ground and caught Spence in the face, at most it’s a yellow card 😂
@WhiteHartGain@6826382hh@InvertTheWing Intent vs No Intent, there’s no intent behind what Delap did, he looked at Spence before the contact but that doesn’t define intent, any good player looks at the opposition positioning before receiving a ball
@GD5496119@InvertTheWing Intent to try and shield the ball? Football is a contact sport and things like this can happen, if you don’t like it you should try a different sport.
He was looking at the ball for a good second or two as it arrives, an outstretched arm isn’t swinging an elbow 😂 football is a contact sport, he was trying to protect the ball as it arrives, I’m not saying it’s not a foul but it’s not a red card offence as there was no intent there.
Watch it back and tell me that Delap wasn’t looking directly at the ball as it was arriving. Before that he was watching Spence to know where he would be so he could position himself to receive the ball. You clearly have 0 intelligence or football knowledge, comparing a sliding tackle (intent) to a player trying to shield the ball shows that 😂
You can be too strong for someone else and it still be a foul? Delap did everything you’re taught to do as a striker, was just unfortunate to catch him in the face with his arm. Secondly, I didn’t say probably a yellow, I said it was a yellow at most, never a red like some people want to believe. It wasn’t intentional, was just unfortunate.
@Firebreqth@InvertTheWing Where’s he looking when his arm makes contact with Spence and the couple of seconds before that then? Pretty sure it’s the ball.
@Objectivebroker@InvertTheWing It’s just height disparity? Not only is Delap taller but Spence wasn’t standing up straight, it was a pure attempt to shield the ball 😂
@7Zark7BftP@InvertTheWing Football is a contact sport, it wasn’t either of those things, he literally did what most attackers would do and tried to shield the ball, and yes that involves scanning to see where the opposition is.
@LordFarquaazdj@InvertTheWing Lmao hit him on purpose is debatable when his arm is just out straight to shield the ball, just a bit unfortunate to catch him in the face 😂 I’m not a Delap fan by the way, just don’t think it’s intentional like everyone is trying to sell 😂
@LordFarquaazdj@InvertTheWing Or I’ve played football and understand the game, I was a defender and I wouldn’t have been complaining about an elbow to the face, I’m not a fan of Delap but people saying it’s intentional and red because of the consequence are stupid.
@culefrenkie@InvertTheWing Lmao it wasn’t intentional, his arm was straight and he was just too strong for Spence, was probably a yellow card at most, never a red
@haisevarotta@6826382hh@InvertTheWing He got into position and was looking at the ball as it was arriving 😂 watch the video back and you’ll see he’s looking at the ball as it arrives at his feet 😂
@6826382hh@InvertTheWing Have you ever played football before? You always scan your surroundings, just because he looked to see where the defender was, doesn’t mean it was done with any intent?
