Reason why I love players like Zay Flowers and Quentin Johnston is because of their mental toughness as well.

QJ - drops early on and bounced back.
Flowers - fumble in a playoff game and had his best season the next year

Elic Ayomanor could be a sneaky late round draft pick this year

Quick thoughts after the first #Titans open practice this year:

- WR Elic Ayomanor has taken a BIG step forward. He’s going to be a difference-maker this season.

- RB Nick Singleton is definitely a name to keep an eye on, both this season and for the future. 👀

- QB Cam Ward looked good and made a few impressive tight-window throws.

- The offensive line looked noticeably better than last year.

- QB Will Levis struggled all day.

Other standouts: WR Wan’Dale Robinson, WR Chimere Dike, CB Alontae Taylor, and P Tommy Townsend.

Dolphins have a solid foundation on defense (and OL). I wouldn't be surprised if the Dolphins defense surprises a lot of people in the next two years....or even this year.

First Dolphins camp practice is a wrap, some notes:

I thought the rookies popped. Jacob Rodriguez got his hans on two passes including a diving PBU on a pass from Ewers to Atwell over the middle. His range in coverage was on display.

Caleb Douglas and Kevin Coleman Jr. both had explosives from Willis. Douglas on a short route then a run after the catch where he showed the long speed.

Coleman caught a crosser on an absolute bullet from Willis that went for about 25. Douglas also caught a ball on 3rd and 7 right at the sticks with Chris Johnson all over his back, but Douglas plucked it and framed it so Johnson couldn’t rake at it.

Dulcich had a nice catch and run from Malik, Ben Sims caught some balls from Malik, too. I thought Malik was pretty solid, had one miss on a throw to the outside, had a ball tipped by Rodriguez, but he had good pockets to work from (thought Paul and Jackson did a good job creating deep pockets).

Speaking of Johnson, he looks damn good. Explosive out of breaks, doing a little bit of everything.

The defense had three splash plays – the biggest a pick six from Willie Gay on a Cam Miller throw outside that he jumped and took back. Michael Taaffe intercepted a ball that Quinn Ewers threw right to him (Bonner also had hands on a Ewers throw but dropped it). David Ojabo punched one out on an Ollie Gordon run.

The passing game had some completions, but a handful of balls off frame or over the target. Looked like the first day of camp in that way.

Kenneth Grant, Jordan Phillips and Zeek Biggers all had run stuffs. Jordyn Brooks made a handful of plays including a TFL on Achane.

Dante Trader had a nice little fit/stuff on the first play of team. Achane had a lane off an Austin Jackson block but Trader saw it, flew it and shut it down.

Juju Brents had a nice PBU on a Malik Washington target over the middle about 15 yards down the field. Stuck his foot in the ground and drove back downhill to get around Malik for the PBU.
