@SenMarkey@RepYassAnsari Their applications have been paused and became unemployed, some of them with PhD degrees been doing high quality research are satying home waiting for work permit. That’s very dad.
Many brilliant Iranian students came to the United States with nothing but their dreams, their talent, and their respect for the law. They believed in the promise of this country, a place where hard work, freedom, and merit matter.
Today, many of those same students and immigrants are living in fear and uncertainty because of the #USCISPause . These are people who followed every rule, respected every law, and have absolutely no connection to the Iranian regime. Yet their lives, their careers, and their futures are now hanging in limbo.
If you are a lawyer, a policymaker, or someone who believes in justice, please stand with them.
Speak up.
Help them.
Don’t let their futures disappear in silence.

In the midst of a catastrophic war and escalating repression in Iran, the Trump Administration is halting immigration processing and legal status pathways for Iranian nationals, including students and professionals already in the United States.
Because visa processing and immigration benefit applications are now frozen, many Iranians studying and working here could lose their legal status and be forced to return to a country where they may face serious danger.
I’m working on a series of actions to demand immediate protections for Iranians in the U.S., including safeguards for students and others whose lives would be at risk in Iran.
@FoxNews Unfortunately, he is right, my friends for example are like : it was the second calm day, that’s a disaster if it is over and Islamic Republic is still in power!
Mr. @SecMullinDHS, as you step into your new position I ask you to provide particular consideration to the status of Iranian students and professionals in the United States who may be at risk of immigration complications due to Presidential Proclamations 10949 and 10998. Many of these individuals fled the Islamic Republic’s because they believe in freedom, democracy, and the values this country stands for. They are also contributing to the United States every day.
They arrived in this country legally, followed the rules, respect this country and its system of law and order and are among the most dedicated and accomplished contributors to American society. I ask that you and your department consider these factors, plus the personal and political risk many of these young people would face if sent back to the criminal regime in Iran.
America’s concerns for its national security and the threat posed by the Islamic regime to the homeland are entirely justified. To that end, my office stands ready to provide you and your colleagues with regime operatives, propaganda agents, and influence networks for investigation and removal from the United States.
Thank you for your consideration.
Congress needs to impeach @USCISJoe immediately. By not processing applications, he's refusing to do his job, forcing immigrants out of their jobs to cause them to self-deport. It's criminal mismanagement of our legal system. And he's defrauding immigrants of their money.
Very important:
"The USCIS pause on immigration processing for Iran is about to expel thousands of students who are graduating from college in May.
These are F-1 students, who will not be able to roll to OPT, STEM OPT, or eventually H1-B in time unless this pause is lifted.
These are young people who want to contribute to America; who are in school at places like Berkeley, Santa Clara University, and Stanford.
Without lifting the pause, they will have to return to Iran in 60 days. We want these young, brilliant people staying and working in America, paying taxes in America and creating jobs here."
What's an easy way for the Trump Administration and USCIS to help Iranian nationals who are here lawfully and fully vetted in the U.S? Remove the administrative hold USCIS has placed on their cases.
