Visited Milak Border in Nimruz Province with @IndrikaRatwatte and saw how @unafghanistan are working together to support #returnee Afghan families in close coordination with local stakeholders & partners.

Together with @WorldBank & @WFP_Afghanistan we visited health facilities in Logar, #Afghanistan, where hundreds of babies are safely delivered each month. Together, we’re supporting the health system so every child can have a healthy future. @UNICEFAfg

Last week I was in Afghanistan and witnessed the return of Afghans from Iran. Among them were children on their own with no place to go.

After the 2023 earthquake in western Afghanistan, UNICEF and partners stepped in to help the community rebuild.

The kids are now thriving and taking life forward.

The community is resilient and the shock has worn off.

I had the opportunity to visit this new vaccination centre at Afghanistan’s southern border recently, where 140 social mobilizers ensure all children entering the country are vaccinated.
