I have read different reactions to the issue.
The most interesting one is when people say even if the company culture is to call people by their first name, you still have to apply 'wisdom'.
So what exactly is the culture HR is promoting? Some people are above the so called culture?
Sounds to me like a culture of hypocrisy.
The type of companies that will be listed as a good place to work and from the outside everything looks fine until you meet the toxicity inside.
You guys keep crying about toxic workplaces and culture but this is literally how it starts.
If your company policy is first name, then what in the ever loving fuck is everybody going on about “discretion” for?
This is such a waste of braincells, it’s so inconsequential.
@BrotherDavid19 See.... This is part of the reason why the country is not working. We don't really mean what we say. What do you mean, "Use your discretion" for a workplace policy?
I'm surprised the things I'm reading
Nigerians reinforcing our chains. If people have to read the room before following company policy inside the company, then the policy is pointless and should be abolished.
HOW IS THIS NOT OBVIOUS????
@SavvyRinu I mean, if Dr Oby did not ask you to address her as Oby in her company policy, then that's fine.
But it's not the case for this lady and Tony Elumelu
You people do ten million HR Conferences a year, just to end up telling us that we should apply discretion with company policies.
You’re all bloody embarrassing and you ought to cover your nonsense faces im shame.
Bloody bunch of alabosis
I don't get this thing. So why are they trying to establish a culture they are not comfortable with??? 😭😭😭
Everyone is okay with Mr and Ms, why not use that and drop the first name gimmick altogether??
@charactercoach_ She did nothing wrong. You people are flogging this issue too much. It's a company policy, she was corrected, she moved on. Some people after that moment would even be destabilized. She carried on with her question.

@dammiedammie35@DavidAnyanwu_ . Mascot moved a motion to call the president. This man was talking about leaving the president and inviting those in charge of security. That's why they were shouting no and that he should sit down. The igbo reps there were doing the right thing.
Dear @PeterObi@YunusaTanko@TheSerahIbrahim@AishaYesufu and others,
I don't believe in prophesies but this statement from this pastor needs serious attention because this is something Tinubu can do.
Worrying!
Please start thinking of a counter plan.
