“Cognitive warfare is now emerging as the new domain of war, characterized by escalation to extremes and the projection of the logic of war into the realm of psyches and ideas.”
With this in mind, Drs. Jean-Michel Valantin and Fabrice Lollia set out to answer the question: how should states understand and respond to the emergence of cognitive warfare as a new strategic domain?

Our Project Spectrum Strike Prize Challenge is now live.
The DoW faces challenges in integrating modern technology into legacy spectrum management systems, putting American innovation, companies, and the military at a significant disadvantage compared to our adversaries.
DIU and its interagency partners seek a "ready-now" automated, software-driven spectrum deconfliction and authorization ecosystem. Run by DIU in partnership with the @USArmy, @USNavy, @USMC, @NTIAgov, @FCC, @FAANews, and @DHSgov, this Prize Challenge serves to dismantle "compliance-based bureaucracy."
Submissions due by June 15 at 23:59:59 Eastern Time.

With AI Forge, we’re calling on universities to bring their boldest thinking and most original ideas to solve AI research challenges for national security.
To start, universities interested in submitting their capabilities can do so through the AI Forge RFI.
This is very sad news. Eric authored and taught SEC401 (formerly known as "Track 1"), still one of our more popular classes. At a time when many introductory information security classes focused on theoretical principles and higher-level generic problems, Eric developed a hands-on technical class that defined the SANS promise. As an "OG" SANS instructor, he also defined the high energy, captivating teaching style characterizing SANS even after he left. Dance breaks for students, pushing an ice cream cart into class (or other instructors' classes) to get students engaged and "awake," were just a couple of his tricks that made him a great instructor. Rest in Peace.
Unitree Introducing | Unitree H2 Plus Integrated R&D and Manufacturing, Embarking on Full-Stack Development🥳

Holy moly... China Post is using AI robots to sort parcels now.
Up to 1,200 packages per hour.
6.5M parcels/day at the Guangzhou center.
Warehouse robots are getting very real.
Grateful to @Forbes for telling our story. Catholic AI is necessary. If you feel the same way we do, please help spread the word. Together, with the guidance of the Holy Father, we can ensure the most powerful tool ever created is used to help bring people to Christ. For His glory!
OpenAI is officially pivoting into hardware. 🤖💼
Sam Altman announced that their world simulation research has evolved into OpenAI Robotics, an internal division tasked to program AND manufacture general-purpose robots.
They are already hiring in SF across 11 specialized roles, including custom actuator design, simulation realism, and large-scale data acquisition.
This hardware push comes after Figure CEO Brett Adcock claimed he "fired" OpenAI from their collaboration: "we just ran kind of circles around them"
Now, OpenAI is closing the loop by building its own physical stack from scratch.
OpenAI Robotics is hiring, looking for exceptional full-stack hardware, ops, systems, and ML engineers to help us program and manufacture robots that are useful for society.
AI should be able to help people in the physical world. In the short term, we are focused on robots to support skilled workers to build our future infrastructure; in the long term, we imagine everyone having a personal robot doing anything they need.
Our world simulation research program, led by Aditya Ramesh (@model_mechanic), has evolved over the past year into OpenAI Robotics. Progress is rapid, and based on a foundation of co-design between robotics hardware and ML research.
If you love working hands-on across the robotics stack and want to build the future, please consider joining us. Send an email with your background and evidence of exceptional accomplishment to: [email protected]
