@zdaniel Just wondering if it is right to force one company to use and pay for the product of another? The news providers choose to maintain Facebook pages and publish their own content to those pages to drive traffic and audience.
@ABCmediawatch The games are a challenging commercial proposition. No I’m okay commercial breaks only pre and post and half time. Hard to make money on. Doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be on free to air - just that it is hard to monetize.
@psimpsonmorgan Better for the public and the sport long term to have a bigger audience - free to air. Sadly this runs up against a desire to get the best $$ deal for the sport and players which means pay tv deals. Long term bigger audience delivers the best outcomes.
@lenoretaylor Local events and community functions most likely to appeal to and engage with the converted. There needs to be a mass media spend to target the large undecided/available audience. No point preaching to the converted.
@KosSamaras The federal Govt has fallen in to the trap of believing that communicating via media conference is mass communications. It isn’t. There needs to have been, or should be, a mass market awareness campaign informing people about the referendum.
