Instagram recently got a new look, and Studio Koto is behind it. Reworking a brand this recognisable is never easy. You want to move it forward without making it feel like a completely different brand.
There’s new wordmark, typography, and a refreshed visual system.

so we’re planning to get more design help for the next version launch, we tried to hire this guy and he asked for our figma files to review, but he never got back to us and later posted something that looked very similar to our landing page draft
We have a lot of honourable mentions on the challenge, people who almost won but missed marks that could not be overlooked. We also have people with a strong understanding of the flow, but the design still leaves a lot ot be desired.
