@BreitbartNews@AlexMarlow@Gilbertson_DC Foxnews lost me during the 2020 election and has just lost some of my friends who still followed them. They should be more concerned about dishonest reporting than solidarity with people who hate Trump.
@JonathanTurley Unfortunately Roberts and Barrett seem to have sided with the liberals on some very important cases in what appears to be a way of placating the left, perhaps to demonstrate a lack of ideological bias. It’s not working.
@SebGorka@JacquiHeinrich@FoxNews I stopped watching FoxNews sometime during the 2020 election. I like some of the hosts but overall I sense a tilt leftward whenever some post or article is sent to me. Newsmax is now my preferred source.
@RubinReport@mirandadevine I wonder if Gates really believes China will hop aboard the globalist train. He must know that tying the hands of US industry without China would lead to a world dominated people who are not our friends. Does he care?
@gatewaypundit Sorry for her loss but the problem with Democrats is that these issues only matter when bad things happen to them personally. When it happens to others then it needs to be weighed against the overall benefits of helping people.
@RealCryptoBull9@benshapiro Right. Who ever expected Israel to defend itself. Totally uncivilized. And of course we need to forgive Islamic attacks because it’s impolite to mention it especially in view of Israel’s actions.
@mirandadevine His comment only makes sense if you thought Mamdani would show that he hates America and believes we deserved the attack. And except for some laughter he behaved fairly well. It’s about what one would say if you had an unpredictable animal in a crowd and he didn’t bite anyone.
@EYakoby A phobia is defined as an irrational fear. There is nothing irrational about the fear of people who keep attacking and killing us. To stop being Islamophbic is ignore our survival instincts.
The Iranian regime is hanging on by their fingernails and using their last few breaths to keep the oil market on edge. They are hoping American voters and their allies in the Democrat Party will give them breathing room so that they can go back to destabilizing the mid East and the world after the midterms. Let’s hope there are smart voters in this country to realize once Iran can control a share of the oil market, we will be thrilled with today’s gas prices.
A Hero That Trusted His Intuition.
The problem wasn’t that Morgan Stanley didn’t believe him.
Rick Rescorla had already been right once. After the 1993 basement bombing of the World Trade Center, the firm’s security chief walked the towers, studied the site, and reached a conclusion most people preferred not to hear: the World Trade Center was still a target. Next time, he said, it would not be a truck. It would be an airplane.
An airplane. In a 1993 report.
Executives listened. Then they looked at the lease.
Morgan Stanley was the largest tenant in the complex—twenty-two floors of the South Tower, thousands of brokers, and a trading infrastructure that could not be packed into boxes and wheeled across the Hudson.
They literally made it a trading center.
The contract with the Port Authority ran until 2006. Walking away from premium Manhattan space of that scale would have meant penalties measured in the hundreds of millions, plus the operational chaos of relocating an entire downtown machine. So the company stayed.
Rescorla adjusted. If they could not leave the building, they would learn to escape it.
He built a protocol and treated it like doctrine. Unannounced drills. No exemptions. Brokers who billed by the minute were pulled off their desks and sent into the stairwells two by two, starting from the top floors, leaving a lane for firefighters coming the other way.
People complained. He did not care. Practice, he believed, was the only thing that would beat panic.
On the morning of September 11, 2001, American Airlines Flight 11 hit the North Tower. From the 44th floor of the South Tower, Rescorla could see the fire. Then the Port Authority came over the speakers: the South Tower was secure. Stay at your desks.
Rescorla grabbed a bullhorn and ignored them.
He started the drill his people already knew by heart. Floor by floor, two by two, down the stairs. He sang as he moved—Cornish songs from childhood, then “God Bless America”—keeping the line moving, refusing to let the stairwell become a stampede. Seventeen minutes later, the second plane struck the South Tower.
By then, most of Morgan Stanley was already on the way out.
Of the 2,687 employees in the building that morning, all but 13 survived.
It was stunning.
Rescorla could have been outside with them. He went back up instead. Colleagues told him to leave. He said he would, as soon as he was sure no one was left behind.
He was last seen around the 10th floor, heading higher.
The South Tower fell at 9:59 a.m. They never found him.
He was one of the 13.
He was a hero in every sense of the word.
Remember Rick Rescorla, he remembered for us.
The fact that so many women support Clancy is very frightening. They want us to believe that any woman who has recently given birth is capable of mass murder. These women also want to convince us that society needs to excuse a new mother for murder of her own children. If these women in pink are right, no new mother should ever be left alone with her child. It is a very bleak picture they paint. My travel was constant when we raised our children and I had absolute confidence in my wife. If this had happened during those years I don’t think I would’ve survived that period. I don’t know what the answer to this mental health issue is, but I am convinced that understanding and forgiveness is not helpful.
Explanations such as the one you post are very frightening for several reasons. It seems to define any woman who has recently given birth as potentially someone incapable of rational thought and at any time could be just a small step away from becoming a mass murderer. It also provides an excuse, not just a reason, for a heinous act. If you are right how can anyone trust a new mother to be left alone with their child? Very few of us can diagnose mental illness. It is a very bleak picture you paint. I don’t have an answer but understanding and forgiveness is not helpful.
@NolteNC@BreitbartNews If her supporters find Clancy defensible and believe she is a victim then these supporters need to be carefully watched by their loved ones for their own safety and the safety of others.
@RealJamesWoods Whether Clancy was not competent at the time of the deaths or whether she is just evil, in either case, the reaction of her supporters is beyond comprehension and very disturbing. The husbands and children of these women in pink need to be vigilant.
Trump is right about data centers period. Not only because modern centers don’t draw from the grid because they include their own power source, or because through use of closed loop systems they require little municipal water, or because they will be built with or without us and the danger of AI is very real but better controlled by a government like ours, but to be blunt, it most likely will be exceptionally profitable.
