@TaiwoObianuju@AddisonPossibl3@ashiedu_victor@UniqueEunice6 As per say you're living with them.
I tell my wife thank you and pray for her after every meal even when I forget she'll ask "where my thanks and prayer?"
And she thank me when I help out with chores.
That's just our way of doing things
@UtdGotham@maxvayshia What exactly have you read about him that's not fascinating?
Please tell me something you sit down to research not what social media fed you
“Muslim Twitter”.
“Muslim Twitter” is not what many say it is.
Rather they’re referring to: “Twitter with a bunch of Muslims in it”.
Muslim Twitter should be a space where Islam (Qur’an & Sunnah) reigns supreme, is embodied, and is established as the ideal normative.
A place where there is DEBATE around obedience of a wife to her husband is automatically NOT “Muslim Twitter”. It is - Twitter with a bunch of Muslims in it. A place where when Al-Amr bil-Ma’ruf wa an-Nahy ‘anil-Munkar (which is a core obligation in Islam) happens, backlash comes about is automatically NOT “Muslim Twitter”.
A place where divorce is implicitly & explicitly encouraged, where loyalty is geared towards gender identity first, where Tabarruj is rife, where backbiting and slander is on display… IS NOT MUSLIM TWITTER. That’s just Twitter with a Bunch of Muslims.
A place where you speak about a man taking care of his family financially, and being the shepherd in his home, and you get pushback - is that “Muslim Twitter”? Are those ones still Qur’an believing, Sunnah adhering, Sahaba following people? It’s doesn’t flow.
A place where a thing like Polygyny is being discussed as a thing of the same magnitude as infidelity, is that “Muslim Twitter”? Are those ones still Qur’an believing, Sunnah adhering, Sahaba following people? It’s doesn’t flow.
A place where the IDEALS and NORM are in clash with the IDEALS & NORM of the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Sahaba cannot be Muslim Twitter. It’s just Twitter with a Bunch of Muslims.
What this reveals is not a space governed by Islamic norms, but a space where many Muslims have absorbed norms that compete with those of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
Nigerian Christians are hypocrites.
These are Christians on Palm Sunday blocking the whole road, yet you never post or condemn it. No Muslim took out a camera to start recording and dragging Christians or Christianity over it, but when it’s Muslims, you people suddenly have a problem.
When you're doing your worship and blocking the roads, Muslims don't complain, they respect it and go about their business. But the moment it's Muslims, you bring out your cameras and start recording, saying Muslims are blocking the roads. Muslims are this Muslims are that.
In Kano, there's a street that gets closed every Sunday for Christian services, all day, not just 5 or 15 minutes. Muslims don't complain because we understand its worship.
But we're going to start recording videos and posting them online so you can see it's happening, and that we just don't go on media to complain out of respect for your religion.
@Fear_Lez@YusufAsunmogejo You're getting it wrong my brother. There's nothing wrong with bearing your ancestral name in Islam as long as it's a good name and comes from your father.
