During a live fire sink exercise, a Royal New Zealand Air Force P-8A Poseidon struck the decommissioned USS Juneau using two AGM-84 Harpoon anti-ship missiles supplied and loaded by the Australian Defence Force.

This event was part of Exercise Valiant Shield 26. The ADF deployed 80 personnel across the Pacific to train alongside forces from the United States, Japan, Canada, and New Zealand.

Australia also contributed an @AusAirForce P-8A Poseidon and embedded aviators within the US-led MQ-28A Ghost Bat team to advance collaborative combat aircraft capabilities.

I think I’ll just speak up here. It’s really freaking annoying when some of you guys do this. It makes it extremely hard to collect data or shoot even see anything at this point. Reed might not say it yet but I will, it’s dangerous and uncalled for.

We also have a set team of a few vehicles behind the dom for S&R and such and it’s getting to the point where they can’t even keep up.

I’m not trying to be rude here, but please stop. It’s getting dangerous and someone is eventually going to get seriously injured. Chasing is a million times more fun if you make your own forecasts and execute your own plan, not someone else’s.

But that’s not the whole story.

In a new study published in Internet Archive's book, VANISHING CULTURE, data scientists working with the Wayback Machine have found:
16% have been restored through the Wayback Machine.
56% are preserved before they disappear.

Preservation is the remedy for cultural loss.
