Today, for the first time, here in Ukraine, in our part of the Carpathians, we hold a Summit that brings together all the Carpathian states, the regions and communities of our countries. We are launching a new format – “C8,” the Carpathian Eight – bringing together us and our neighbors in Europe: Romania, Serbia, Poland, Slovakia, Czechia, Austria, Hungary, and, of course, the European Union as a whole.
This marks the start of a movement that should bring our countries even closer together and create another strong framework for cooperation at the EU level – security, energy, a significant expansion of logistics and cross-border economic cooperation, as well as substantial support for our communities.
Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
Auschwitz took time.
The arson attack on Mississippi’s largest synagogue is yet another vile attack against the Jewish people and American society as a whole. It must be universally condemned. We stand with the Jackson community and thank law enforcement for swiftly apprehending a suspect.
Memory comes in many forms.

Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began 1,000 days ago. Since the beginning, the European Parliament has stood with Ukraine and will continue to stand with them for as long as it takes.
Tomorrow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address Parliament.
Tomorrow will mark 1,000 days since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The colours of Ukraine’s flag shines on our headquarters as a symbol of our firm support to those working and fighting to keep freedom's light burning.
We #StandWithUkraine.

I talked to President Biden.
In the last 90 days of his term, he needs to exercise his responsibilities as commander-in-chief and give Ukraine the weapons it needs to make a “substantial difference” on the battlefield.
I shared my recommendations:
Ukraine:
"We're fighting against a coalition of Russia, North Korea, and Iran, with much of their weapons technology coming from China. Can we count on some support?"
The West
Pro-Hamas protesters in Germany chant death to Jews, almost a year to October 7, the largest massacre of Jews in one day since the Holocaust.
The masks are off: It was never about Israel.
