@Helene_G_du_P_M@DivyaOYR Not necessarily. I’m a 58 year old woman. My LT 1 is 162 LT2 176 & my max HR is 195 measured properly in a lab. It varies from person to person. That said I don’t do my easy runs at 159!
5/10k races I’m at 188-190 but around 140 for easy runs
RPE is prob best measure for easy
@DivyaOYR I’m 58 woman & had my lactates done properly. My LT 1 is 162 (max 195) On my easy runs 160 is the max I go for a few seconds climbing a big hill maybe but generally it’s 10-20 beats below 160 for most of the run. Maybe that’s what coach meant ie slow down 160 is your max limit
@DoctorLemma I would do almost anything to hear my Dads voice again just one more time. I can still hear it in my head and it scares me to death that I might forget how he sounds
@Jamesmolesruns Athletics clubs provide the volunteers that keep the LM running but I doubt they will get more places. I also doubt that the 500 cap on British champs will be raised/GFA places increased. LM stopped being a ‘runners’ event years ago.Its just about being the biggest charity event
@andrewwoodroffe London is run due largely to volunteers esp athletic club volunteers . I wonder if they would be able to source enough volunteers for 2 days esp due to the the reduction in incentives in recent years for run clubs by reducing club allocated places for baggage handling etc
IT issues preventing inquiry atm. Due to resume circa 11.45am.
In the meantime a reminder of the innocent souls murdered at the hands of an evil monster.
