My AI side project "seemed fine" for 6 months.

First eval: 58.3% accuracy. After a few iterations: 95.2%. Then swapped to a cheaper model — same accuracy, 90% less cost.

MCPs aren't always useful. Gmail, Google Calendar don't have official ones. Notion's is very limited.
