Stop trying to get me to join your brand of cult. Not interested, not even if you offered me a fortune.
I don't have a price tag.
I've never been a follower, joiner, or one who plays by society's often ridiculous fucking rules. I damn sure don't respect most authority, and I probably don't, or wouldn't, respect you. That's an earned thing. I do whatever I want, whenever I want, however I want, and I don't bother others or their property in the process.
I don't give two shits what you or anyone else thinks about me or the way I live my life, good or bad. Insults, compliments, mockery, or flattery will get you nowhere. I simply don't care, and I've never been one to seek validation or approval, not even as a kid. Never wanted it, never needed it.
My life is my own, and I ride on no bandwagon, train, or plane, even if I like the path its traveling, its destination, and the scenery around it.
I don't worship any politicians, political movements of any kind, celebrities, or any flag. I'm not into idolatry or groupthink. It's not my bag.
I have no respect for those who can't think and feel with their own minds and hearts, those who feel the need to "fit in." I find those people tragicomic, and whose sole purpose, unbeknownst to them, is the perpetuation of mediocrity and unoriginality.
I don't respect (most) folks who are afraid to stand on their own, nor do I respect those too afraid to speak their mind. Say what you mean and mean what you say. You don't need to wait for someone else to act.
My religion is none of your business, nor is yours mine. My morals, principles, code, and life philosophy are my own, and yours are yours. I'm not looking to adopt yours, and I'm not selling mine. Preaching to me is futile - using fear and guilt as methods even more so - the former is mostly alien to me and the latter I can swallow down.
I have absolutely no respect for grifters. I don't like most influencers, even those who say decent things and/or things that I like. I believe most of them to be self-righteous charlatans.
Feminazism, Manospherism - fuck 'em both. They're both ridiculous and made up of a bunch of whining pussies, cunts, and incels who think they're tough and relevant. They're neither and they know it.
I don't like "my truth" morons, those who reject objective reality, people who have preferred pronouns, or those idiots who identify as a string of shit no sane individual can understand. I don't identify as anything; I simply am.
I'm on no team other than my family's team, so don't DM me asking if I'm on this side, that side, or on the fence, and definitely don't ask me to join you in your crusade. I won't be joining, but I wish you well and all the best.
Khabib: "I'm 37. Maybe tomorrow is my last day, you never know. But getting older, just like everybody else, I don't like it. We have to deal with this, and we have to understand. This is a very good reminder to be just a regular human."
Bro, let’s stop pretending.
Muslims make up about 25% of the entire world’s population — over 2 billion people across 50+ countries.
Japanese people? About 1.4% of the world. One single country.
Shinto exists only in Japan.
So when people say “Japan should prioritize minorities and be more accommodating to Islam,” who exactly are we talking about?
The global majority is coming to one of the world’s smallest ethnic and religious groups and demanding that Japan change its culture, food, and traditions for them.
That’s not “protecting minorities.” That’s the majority trying to colonize a tiny minority.
Japan has every right to protect its own people and culture first.
If Muslims want to live under Islamic rules, they already have dozens of countries where they can do that. They don’t need to come to Japan and turn it into another one.
Gender and sex are the exact same thing. They were recognized as such until about five minutes ago.
There are two genders: Male and female. Yours isn’t changeable. By your logic, I could identify as Morgan Wallen. But I’m not. Gender isn’t on the spectrum, your mental disorder is.
Anarcho communists are my favorite communists because they're the only ones who looked at every communist experiment ending in authoritarianism and concluded the problem was that there wasn't enough wishful thinking.
Their entire political theory is: "Nobody will own anything, nobody will enforce anything, nobody will have authority over anyone, and somehow everyone will voluntarily obey communist rules forever."
It's less a political philosophy than a trust fall with civilization.
The moment someone says, "No thanks, I'd rather keep my property and trade voluntarily," the whole theory faces its first encounter with reality and immediately starts looking for a government to pretend it isn't one.
@ChrisMartzWX 10,000% agree. More, if it were possible.
Every one of us ranchers and farmers agree with you wholeheartedly and likely without exception unless one is mentally retarded.
Sorry for the length here, but this is a topic near and dear to me:
Long, structured, deliberate lesson plans / practice sessions, a la Steve Vai, but tailored just for me. I started making and doing those at a young age, and it drastically sped up the whole learning process. I also broke everything down into its simplest form instead of trying to memorize a bunch of useless stuff like rote scale patterns. Mastering intervals and intervallic relationships - plus the math that glues it all together - lets you learn and play anything very quickly. Nothing else trains your ear like it at least that I'm aware of. In my opinion, understanding beats rote memorization 100% of the time and twice on Tuesdays.
Breaking things down mechanically to their simplest form does wonders, too, and so does putting serious effort into the stuff that feels difficult and unnatural. ***Lean hard into the difficulty!*** You’ll never improve much if you only play what you’re already good at, and you'll never get all that killer music in your heart and soul out of your guitar. So, get frustrated a LOT. Doing so, for whatever the reason, helps you learn more quickly... if you don't give up.
After seeing (ironically) Jeff Healey, it dawned on me that music is really a purely audible thing (or close to it - the rest is tactile). Our eyes just get in the way and flood the brain with needless data, so I started playing with my eyes closed for a while in my teens. That helped further train my ears and develop control and feel. After a couple months of it, nothing distracts you when you return to practicing in Eyes-open-ville… unless there’s a hot, naked chick in front of you. A naked wife will definitely always distract you in the best way possible! :)
Grip strength training with handstraps worked, too, and helped in a lot of areas of life, not just Guitar-ville...
And that leads to something folks might not expect: getting and staying in kickass shape makes a *huge* difference. We learn more efficiently and master things to a higher level when we’re healthy and happy. Fitness prevents and kills a ton of negativity and stress, plus it builds focus, self-discipline, and consistency. Being born into ranching and farming meant I had no choice but to stay in good shape - it just came with the life, at least when you’re younger. I added to it a lot: boxing, martial arts, and dicking around inside and outside the barns unstacking, slinging, and restacking hay bales for hours, splitting wood, etc.
Again, sorry for the post length. Hope it helps somebody out there in Guitar-ville.
We don’t have a government revenue problem.
They get more than enough money.
If we cut taxes and revenue falls “short,” that means there is a government spending problem.
I don’t know why this is so hard for many of you to understand.
It is mind-boggling to me.
Nope. I don't eat salads. I don't eat anything that I need to doctor up with stuff in order to make it even semi-edible. Because of that, my diet is ~90% or so carnivore/animal based and has been since I was a child.
Though rare, there are times I'll eat a salad (fully decked out with meat, boiled eggs, and cheese) in order to be nice/respectful to loved ones, but salads, and at least 99% of vegetables, are things I either strongly dislike or never crave and I'd never make for myself.

It is difficult to imagine an American who has been a greater parasite on the public coffers than @BernieSanders. He has contributed NOTHING to the United States other than decades of cantankerous and sullen envy-fuelled anger at those who create.
Mothers are more likely to abuse their children than fathers, more likely to kill them, and boys are more likely to be killed than girls by a parent, according to a 2006 report — the opposite of the common narrative.
