The APC Campaign Council: Nigerians Deserve a New Direction
I have taken note of the recently constituted APC Presidential Campaign Council, whose composition offers Nigerians a clear picture of the choice before us in the 2027 general election.
The council brings together many of the same political actors who have supported, defended or participated in the present administration. Their coming together raises a fundamental question: what exactly are they asking Nigerians to vote for in 2027, a new beginning, or the continuation of the same system that has brought severe hardship to our people?
The truth is, I see the 2027 election as a struggle between the oppressed Nigerian masses and those who have benefited from, defended and sustained the system responsible for their hardship.
It is concerning to all well-meaning Nigerians whose across the country, their families are struggling with the rising cost of food and basic necessities. Young Nigerians face unemployment and diminishing opportunities. Farmers and businesses are struggling to survive, while millions continue to live with insecurity. Our education, healthcare and other essential public services remain under enormous pressure.
This ruling campaign structure presents another scenario between the oppressors and the oppressed. We must use it come 2027 election to reject continued oppression and demand accountable, people-centred governance. If Osun people can do it, so can all other parts of the country.
I particularly appeal to my brother, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, who has accepted to serve as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, to reflect deeply and reconsider accepting this responsibility.
As a former governor of Zamfara State and a prominent leader from the North-West, I believe Senator Yari has a clear understanding of the devastating consequences of insecurity, poverty, unemployment, displacement and the destruction of livelihoods in the region and the country at large.
I therefore will be surprised if in his good conscience, will lead a campaign whose principal objective is to secure the continuation of a government under which many of the people he once governed, and other innocent Nigerians remain trapped in these challenges?
There is also a serious institutional question concerning the inclusion of the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Dr Zacch Adedeji, and the Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation, Dr Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi, in the campaign’s fundraising and finance structures.
The leadership of critical public institutions demands neutrality, integrity and public confidence. It is therefore legitimate to ask whether the responsibilities of senior officials entrusted with managing public revenue and national finances can appropriately coexist with senior partisan campaign roles.
The government and the APC should explain how such arrangements are consistent with institutional neutrality and public trust.
Ultimately, no campaign council is more powerful than the Nigerian people. - RMK
I go through my archives every Sunday. Today I stumbled on clips from my radio show (The Big Mack Show) from 11 years ago. 😂😂
I had a very hilarious radio show, not going to lie. 😂😂. I left radio and entertainment to focus on more important matters.
Pardon the audio quality. I must have ripped it the from (compressed) transmission log.
And nobody in that country is asking questions how a man can randomly gift another person 500 million Naira?
This is a £250,000 gift.
What exactly is your source of income and your current financial status that you casually give away such money as birthday gift? What is going on that is being packaged as birthday gift?
But of course, to empty-brained money-worshipping sycophants, asking this kind of question must mean you have “envy”, and not that you genuinely wonder what kind of jungle society allows such huge amount of money to exchange hands and nobody is alarmed.
Because if the figures are accurate and the news is true, then we are doomed as a country if people can casually move £250,000 in the name of a birthday and nobody (in the positions to check) has enough brains to ask any questions.
Nigeria is a painful tragic joke.

This is giving Raymond Reddington vibes. The President of Nigeria is a Manchurian Candidate.
Nigeria surrendered its sovereignty to do as foreign powers please. In contrast, China sentenced the founder of Evergrande, once the richest man in Asia, to life in prison for charges including fraud, embezzlement, & bribery.
Janjaweeds no longer accuse Nigerians of demarketing the country. The demarketer-In-chief is Aso Rock tenant himself. Is Tinubu files more dangerous than Jeffrey Epstein's files?
What a SHAME !! A truly DISGRACED NATION.
The world owes Pablo Escobar & El Chapo unreversed apologies. Let’s keep it a buck.
I despise this guy,
He is the epitome of chronic crony capitalism, these are the business men that prefer Nigeria being dysfunctional, so the moat is wide enough to asphyxiate competition.
How can the head of tax collection be a member of a political party's fundraising committee?
If the head of the NRS has so much free time on his hands, perhaps he should take a sabbatical and then work for that political party

In April last year, in recognition of Isioma Sybil Nwosu's excellence, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu awarded N10 million to her during LASU's 28th convocation ceremony and not a warm handshake!
She emerged as the best graduating student for the 2023/2024 academic session with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.93.
During LASU’s 27th Convocation, he awarded ₦10 million to Olaniyi Mubaraq Olawale, the overall best graduating student, who finished with a 4.98 CGPA.
This year, he doubled it to ₦20M each to two first class students.
It is this spirit of celebrating excellence wherever it is found regardless of where one comes from that we so dearly need.
If someone got up, and preached in defense of the Hindu Caste System, or the Osu Caste System - many of us would rightfully, condemn them.
But when people like this man, use the Bible to "justify" a similar conclusion - many of us are gullible enough swallow it, hook line and sinker.
The "Curse of Ham" and other associated nonsense, was a clever by half, and thoroughly inelegant concoction to justify race-based slavery - a multibillion dollar industry, so that Christian slave-owners would feel fully "justified" in restricting slavery to only people of Black/African descent.
"If God consigned them to perpetual slavery, who am I to oppose the will of God"? Goes this line of thinking.
This is one of the reasons why;
1. White American Christians, brothers - fought each other, killing 500,000 - because they couldn't agree on whether "Black people were destined, from creation to be slaves or not".
2. White Evangelicals/Pentecostals were the segment of the US population most opposed de-segregation and civil rights - and the curse of Ham nonsense, was fully supported by Dake's Concordance - published in the 1960s. (Dr. Frederick K.C. Price went to town in the 1980s and 1990s, fighting this dangerous nonsense - from a theological point of view).
"Racial Reconciliation" was the zeitgeist in the Evangelical Movement in the 1990s. Today, it is being dismissed as "woke" - abandoned for more "anti-woke" positions like "the sin of empathy".
The rise of Trump/#MAGA has emboldened many, to show their true colours. America is, what America has always been.

Meet Khalifa Aminu, a 20-year-old self-taught inventor from Kano 🇳🇬
From a young age, he taught himself engineering via YouTube, Google & AI.
He built smart glasses that guide visually impaired users using sensors.
He won the 2024 Indomie Heroes Award
Other projects include an FM transmitter, drone, boat, agricultural spraying device, security systems, inverter and other electronic devices.
But the invention that brought him national attention was his electronic glasses for visually impaired people. 👓
The glasses use sensors to detect obstacles in front of the wearer and produce an audible warning, helping the user navigate their surroundings.
The ambition is no longer simply to detect obstacles, but to give visually impaired users richer information about their surroundings.
There is, however, a bigger challenge ahead: moving from promising prototypes to products that are rigorously tested, certified, affordable and available to the people who need them.
Khalifa Aminu's story is therefore about more than one invention.
It is about Nigerian ingenuity, self-education, perseverance and what young people can create when they are given the opportunity and resources to develop their ideas.
Nigeria needs more stories like this.

Release Of French Spy Yann Vézilier: A Tactical Maneuver By Mali
On August 13, the Malian government pardoned and released French DSGE officer, Yann Christian-Bernard Vézilier, who was arrested by the Malian authorities last August for plotting to destabilize the country, and sentenced this June to 20 years in prison.
The same day as Vézilier’s release, 82 Malian military personnel, captured by Western-backed terrorists during the failed April 25-26 t*rror attacks, were finally welcomed home.
In this report for The Spearhead, @panspear explores the truth behind these twin developments, and what Africa must learn from them.
Where was Afriforum when Black South Africans were fighting Apartheid? They were the loudest and most passionate supporters of Apartheid.
During the Anti-Apartheid Struggle, the rest of Africa rose to the occasion; in support of the Anti-Apartheid Struggle.
The strategy is simple.
1. Isolate Black South Africans from the rest of Africa.
2. So that when they deliver the killer blow, there will be no one left to support Black South Africans.
Jacinta and her pot-bellied "Zulu warriors" are too far gone into their monumental, encyclopedic stupidity - to figure out what is going on.
(The US Ambassador in Pretoria is "Pro-Afriforum", he's had meetings with them.
Make out of this whatever you will.
And remember, when the chips are down, the Trump Administration will always prioritize White South Africans/Afrikaners - as for Black South Africans - Donald Trump, Stephen Miller and the rest of #MAGA does not differentiate between you, or a Somalian, a Zimbabwean, or a Nigerian - the people many of you hate the most, with a burning, rabid passion).
