Applies. But we have seen through so much research how the government and foreign governments influence and work with large tech companies. So much so I’m actually writing a book on it at the moment
Yesterday a gentleman from a media house, a COO no less, messaged that he needed a "human resource" to run their digital set-up. When we were on the call he asked if I worked at Geo. I said I didn't. He said his guy told him I was at Geo. Then, he said, ah so you've been in digital? Ok, so you don't do your homework, I get it. He said he had asked his guy in Karachi to get him the contacts of all the top "banday" who run digital for TV channels. The channel is in Lahore. He said, men have no issues moving, but women have issues because they need to see the house etc.
Buddy, you couldn't pay me enough to come work for you. A thoroughly unprofessional COO who did not even know how to speak to an editor or do his HW. This is what's wrong with seth-run media houses. I have the luxury to post this. My heart goes out to my colleagues who are stuck in these jobs, with this industry.
No government will ever admit “our country is now unliveable”. Power grids have already become as strategically important as food in uninhabitable countries. If the AC goes, it is instant death for millions #uninhabitable#ClimateBreakdown

It’s time for authorities to rethink their priorities when it comes to Karachi’s cruel summer. Taking heatwaves seriously is important, but addressing sustained #chronicheat exposure is particularly critical
