There are several thoughts that come to mind about what’s going on, and I think it’s important to consider them. First, the so-called subject matter experts who specialize in play-by-play commentary and likely day-trade are the same emotional degenerates who will quickly reveal exactly who they are…which is actually helpful, as it serves as a great filter for any future advice from them.
Second, we’re in a situation where the US administration was under pressure ahead of the 250-year celebration, Trump’s birthday, the UFC event, and other milestones to close some kind of deal, at which point the art of the deal apparently evolved to mean it’s okay to sign unilaterally without needing the counterparty to sign the agreement.
My view is that consideration should be given to investing in the sector where producing companies have a low cost of supply, because at $80, $90, or even $100 oil these companies perform better on the margin and will continue generating solid profits going forward.
Another key consideration is that the people running these companies also recognize the volatility and uncertainty, while facing pressure from the US administration to increase production amid record-low inventories and Strategic Petroleum Reserve levels.
This situation is not going to change in the next four weeks, so whatever July futures prices you see on your screen do not alter the current material balance. Overall, it’s important not to get emotional about what’s happening, let things unfold naturally and be very careful about taking advice from emotional degenerate day traders. 🫡🪒
Update: Last night, our baby did in fact arrive just before the Knicks won in five.
My wife and I are unbelievably happy. We have a healthy, adorable baby boy. Was tempted to name him Jalen Karl-Anthony OG Baba, but we kept our original choice.
Welcome, James Brooklyn Baba 🙌🏾
This is going to be a game changer for small independent grocers and food processors.
$1 billion in infrastructure.
$750 million earmarked for year round greenhouse production.
Conservatives and retail giants are going to hate this.
I’m loving it.

My wallet is gone!?
After watching Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Toronto Fan Festival for the FIFA World Cup 2026, I realized my wallet was missing while topping up my PRESTO card.
I opened iPhone Find My app and followed the signal to the Hyatt lobby.
The staff had it safely stored in a drawer. Someone had turned it in.
Toronto, the city where even lost wallets find their way back.
Honestly, this city has class.
If the person who turned it in happens to see this, please message me. I’d love to thank you properly.
Thank you to the person who returned it, the Hyatt staff, Apple, and the classy Torontonians. I love TO.
