In simple terms, Agent Grand Prix (AGP) is a demonstration of the problem Latch is trying to solve:

How do you let an AI agent operate autonomously when its actions have real consequences?

The key point of the game is that the agent doesn't simply have unrestricted access to everything. It has to go through Latch, which sits in the path of requests, defining what the agent can do and how/where it can spend its budget, while the policy engine checks each request.

Ultimately, the agent that makes the best decisions under constraints wins. In this case, that's the agent that asks smarter questions, eliminates large portions of the possibility space, solves all the checkpoints, and reaches the FIN before the other agents.

My AGP strategy would be pretty simple:

Don't rush to guess, but don't waste questions either.

I'd want my agent to start with broad, high-information questions that eliminate large parts of the possibility space, then progressively narrow down the answer. The goal isn't to ask as many questions as possible. Every question costs, so my agent needs to balance confidence against spend.

- Ask broad, high-value questions early
- Narrow the search space progressively
- Avoid redundant questions
- Preserve enough budget for later checkpoints
- Use Latch to enforce the boundaries

AI acts more like a constitutional reviewer, helping ensure proposals meet predefined governance rules before they reach the community, while the community still deliberates, votes, and ultimately decides outcomes.
