Today we heard a female nurse, Sandie Peggie, being cross-examined by a lawyer about why she felt intimidated or embarrassed by a man in her changing room.

That any woman, let alone one who has been the victim of sexual assault has to justify her discomfort is disgraceful.

Asked by the lawyer if it was 'offensive' to describe the person as a man, Ms Peggie said: 'It's the truth'.

And she is right.

WRN stands in solidarity with Sandie Peggie and every woman who wants or needs a single-sex space. Always.

And don’t get me started on the flat rate awards that concertina up scales making progression less attractive and penalises those on higher grades

Well said. If special schools are struggling with the current funding levels why does the government think a mainstream can? Fund all schools correctly and adequately now. Give us the resources to do the job.
