The reason this blew up is because YOU made it a big deal. If you didn't point cameras at the most intimate moments of your life for cash, no one would have known. YOU decided to put it out there.

Also, the reason for the vitriol is that you have the means to give this child a great life. You're not like the 90% who abort who aren't millionaires. So this looks like you didn't want to burden your life with a child that isn't perfect according to you.

Perhaps try explaining your reasoning better for making that choice, and maybe people will understand a bit better.

The reality is that even having kids, you're likely to end up old and alone. Look at old folks homes, filled with people who had kids, and they are alone. Having kids doesn't guarantee there won't be issues, or they will go live far away, or they simply won't want to spend time with you.
