Today, I attended the @BasedOneX & @EthenaKorea meetup in Korea.

The @BasedPalsNFT video at the entrance of the meetup venue was super cute! 🐾

It was clear that the Based team’s achievements over the past 6 months have laid the foundation for remarkable growth. @shu_bit_ from the Based team gave the presentation, covering key updates below.

Highlights from the BasedOne Meetup:

I got the distinct impression that the team is still building day and night. They strongly emphasized their strategy to position Based as a "Super App" to drive new user inflows. Personally, I find the launch of BasedMall and the expansion into Solana meme coin trading to be very encouraging.

While I didn't get the specific VC details I was most looking forward to today, it gave me time to reflect on valuation.

People typically categorize BASED as just a Perp DEX and try to project its FDV based solely on trading volume.

However, as the team consistently highlights, they are positioning themselves as a comprehensive Super App (of Hyperliquid).

Therefore, I believe it is premature to estimate FDV based on volume alone.

With Based Cloud, BasedMall, and Prediction Markets, they are already solidifying their foundation as a Super App.

VCs will likely evaluate the project by aggregating the value of all these diverse verticals. That is why the upcoming VC reveal will be the most critical piece of news ahead of the TGE.

Despite the market downturn, I wish for Based’s continued steady growth.

Based is the everything app. We allow people to trade everything, spend everywhere.

While perps trading has brought Based to where it is now, the future is more than crypto perps. Today, we have integrated with Equities (Unit) and Prediction Markets (Polymarket). Based has built a revolutionary new perp DEX (Hyena) together with @ethena that allows users to earn rewards on their collateral, which unlocks new trading strategies. HyENA will be open to the public with many new markets. Several teams are also working with Based to unlock new interesting markets.

Our mission is far from complete. 2026 is an amazing time as we continue to accelerate adoption of Based as the everything app for trading, money, and commerce.

S2 has just ended, and we are preparing for the next chapter. The journey ahead will not be easy, but necessary if we want to build a financial powerhouse that houses everything the user wants to trade.

This is the moment where we define what the Based community truly stands for. From the beginning, Based has been shaped by the people who stayed when it was early, uncertain, and unfinished. We are grateful to those who have been with us since the start, not as users, but as partners in what we are building.

As we move into the next stage, this is our opportunity to be deliberate about who we are. To define what "Based" means, not just as a product, but as a community.

What comes next will be built with those who share that belief.

제가 이런 글을 쓰면 엣지엑스 홀더들이 몰려와서 욕을 잔뜩 할거같에서 이 글을 쓸지 말지 수십번도 고민을 했으나, 더 건강한 코인 생태계가 만들어지길 바라면서 제 생각을 적어보려고 합니다.

글을 시작하기 전에 몇가지 짚고 넘어가야 할 점들이 있습니다.
- 저는 하이퍼리퀴드 서포터이자 홀더이며
- 라이터 및 백팩 포인트를 보유하고 있습니다.
- 저는 edgeX에 참여하지 않았지만, edgeX 포인트를 캐신 분들은 대박이 나서 돈을 많이 벌기를 진심으로 응원합니다
- 동시에 저는 사기꾼들을 극혐하고 그들이 우리 코인 생태계를 망치는 주범이라고 생각하기 때문에 이 글을 작성합니다.

1. EdgeX 의 배후
아무리 퍼프덱스라고 해도 결국엔 프로젝트마다 리더가 있음. EdgeX 가 계속 익명팀이라고 하는 이유도 사실 실소유주 또는 최대주주가 Tony 라는 중국인이기 때문임.

그래서 Tony 는 누군가? MEXC 사장임. 전세계 크립토인이 극혐하는 그 거래소 MEXC 말임. 정말 다양한 사건사고 및 논란이 있었지만 그 중 제일 잘 알려진 케이스로는 고객 수익금 강탈 및 조롱이 있었고, 최근에도 해외 유저 상대로 비슷한 케이스로 난리가 났었다.

전문적으로 코인 사기꾼 및 스캠을 다루는 @zachxbt 도 Tony에 대해 정보를 모으고 있다.

하이퍼리퀴드는 어둡고 절망스러운 크립토판에 한줄기 빛이 되준 정말 고마운 존재인데, 어떤 못된 사악한 인간이 하이퍼리퀴드를 거의 똑같이 베낀 후 한국 유저들을 또 한번 털어먹을려고 하는거 같다.

2. TGE 이후
- 에어드랍 받고 난 이후에 엣지엑스 유저들은 계속 이 플랫폼을 사용할까? 라는 질문을 했을때, 나는 그렇지 않을거라고 생각한다.
- 하이퍼리퀴드 및 라이터는 TGE 이후에도 유저들이 남아있을 요인들이 있지만, 아직 EdgeX 에선 보이지 않는다. 애초부터 혁신 자체가 없고 하이퍼리퀴드 모델을 베낀 제품이지 않는가.

3. 유저베이스 및 한국KOL
- 트위터 하면 알겠지만 엣지엑스 트윗 게시물엔 압도적으로 한국 유저들 댓글이 많은것으로 보면 엣지엑스 유저들 대다수는 한국인이라고 예측이 가능함. MEXC 도 한국 유저들이 제일 많았던적이 있어서 당시 플랫폼 테마컬러를 초록색에서 한국인이 좋아하는 파랑색으로 바꾸기도 했으니까.
- 그리고 엣지엑스를 쉴링하는 한국 KOL들이 너무 많음. 어떤 딜을 받고 엣지엑스 찬양을 하는지는 잘 모르겠으나, 보면 볼수록 예전 해시키 거래소가 한국인들 설거지 시켰을때랑 유사한점이 많음.

4. 정리 및 마무리
- 엣지엑스 포인트 열심히 파밍 하신 분들은 꼭 수익 보시길 바라지만
- 포인트가 없는 분들은 굳이 FOMO 를 느껴서 엣지엑스 코인을 매수할 필요까지는 없다고 저는 생각합니다
- 그리고 엣지엑스의 대부분 물량은 팀이 캐놨다고 저는 추측하고 있고, 물량을 많이 가지고 있기 때문에 운전을 하면서 우리같은 개미들을 현혹시키며 FOMO 유발을 반드시 할거라고 생각을 합니다.
- 스캠 오너가 만든 프로젝트가 잘되는게 아니라, 하이퍼리퀴드나 라이터처럼 True Builders 들이 만든 플랫폼들이 더 주목과 관심을 받아야지 코인판이 장기적으로 살아 남을 수 있을거 같습니다.

5. 마지막으로
- 엣지엑스를 홍보한 KOL들도 아마 누가 진짜 오너인지 모르고 홍보했을거라서, 저는 그들을 비난하지 않습니다.
- 개인적으로는 비도덕적이고 스캠짓을 한 오너가 운영하는 프로젝트에 절대로 투자하지 않습니다. 지난 몇년간 코인 투자 하면서 직접 얻어터지면서 생긴 개인적 경험입니다.
- 저도 일개 개인투자자일뿐이며, 제가 가지고 있는 정보와 경험을 토대로 글을 작성했습니다. 투본선을 하시고 다들 성공적인 투자를 하시길 정말 기원합니다.

In partnership with @Polymarket, the Based team will be launching prediction market access to users of Based. This manifests as a highly performant and intuitive way for users to trade prediction markets across iOS, Android, and our Web terminal product.

Utilising Polymarket's deep liquidity and robust settlement, we carve out a new market segment for our users to trade. This is built in deep integration with Hyperliquid's hypercore to allow users to easily move funds in and out of their Perpetual accounts into Prediction Market account.

The @BasedPalsNFT will also receive an unique utility in-line with our agentic trading roadmap in partnership with Polymarket.

With the integration of Prediction Market access, we diversify and increase Based's revenue streams as we move ahead into our eventual TGE. In order to grow our Prediction Market business, the Based team will be setting aside 2mil Based Gold every epoch (starting #14) for Based users who trade on our Prediction Markets.
