Honestly if I could sum up the argument for $TRAC in a single sentence- it would be this:
"The more AI is adopted in the world, the more $TRAC is needed."
$TRAC is a utility token that is bought by and used as payment for clients that want to store data on the DKG (decentralized knowledge graph) in order to fight misinformation, deepfakes and AI, and in general protect data authenticity on the internet.
And because there is ZERO inflation on the token and the supply is already fully circulating, as demand grows, so naturally will price.
This is econ 101- when demand is RISING and supply is FIXED, price goes UP.
The more time $TRAC spends in this zone, the stronger the upward momentum will be.
Tons of accumulation happening right now with quite a few new holders.
Finite supply that’s fully distributed and real demand with real companies paying real APR for staking. Plenty to like.
Been looking into this one for a while now and think there's a really solid investment thesis here for a fossil coin. I've began a sizable long-term position:
$TRAC (@origin_trail) is of the few 2017-18 crypto projects that didn’t just survive, it actually shipped and has legitimate adoption and is now set to become something far more ambitious that will soon play an integral role in AI, DeSci, genomics, healthcare, and academic research.
What gives TRAC its moat is the Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG), a network that doesn’t just store data, it ties to understands it. By combining blockchain’s immutability with the structure of knowledge graphs, OriginTrail can organize relationships between facts, sources, and proofs of origin. That makes it incredibly hard to replicate and perfectly suited for a world drowning in synthetic information. Add to that real enterprise integrations, compliance with GS1 data standards, and a token model tied to actual usage rather than inflation, and you get a protocol that’s quietly built a defensible position as the trust layer for data and AI.
It started out with the goal of supply-chain transparency... BSI, the US Customs-linked SCAN network + 22,000+ factories use OriginTrail’s Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG) to secure audit and compliance data and there's been over 30,000+ certifications that are already anchored to the network.
In supply chain, TRAC's DKG acts as kind of an invisible data layer that verifies where a product came from, how it moved, and whether its certifications are legit, all recorded immutably and interoperable with existing standards like GS1 EPCIS 2.0... So think pharma and how critical it is to trace medicine packaging and storage; food and agriculture, tracing the origin and logistics of meat, dairy, and fresh produce to ensure integrity; and transportation, verifying safety and compliance logs.
But what TRAC is building now goes beyond logistics — it’s trying to tackle trust itself. The DKG lets anyone publish verified data as a Knowledge Asset, each one tied to an NFT carrying authorship, provenance, and ownership. That means an AI model, research lab, or government agency can trace where information came from, who published it, and whether it’s been tampered with.
We’re already seeing how messy things are getting... AI-generated content, deepfakes, misinformation. People can’t tell what’s real anymore. In that kind of world, being able to prove what’s true becomes everything. We need a system that can prove authenticity and origin.
This is why TRAC’s next phase reaches into DeSci, genomics, healthcare, and academic research, places where data integrity isn’t optional.
There's already been some progress: Trace Labs (the core team) joined the Sustainable Medicines Partnership with major pharma players to anchor medical supply data, OriginTrail tech powers parts of Oracle’s blockchain partner network and its Trace Alliance, now 150+ organizations, is experimenting with how verified data can move between science, manufacturing, and AI.
Capped supply (~500M), almost everything circulating. Roughly 70M TRAC is currently staked showing strong holder alignment.
Staking requires 50,000 TRAC with withdrawals locked ~28 days on EVM chains (Gnosis/Base) and instant unstakes on the NeuroWeb chain (it's own parachain).
Yields can average 10-20% (though they’ve spiked higher during active periods) and are tied directly to DKG activity itself. The interesting part is that it’s not inflationary as almost all TRAC is already in circulation. Rewards come from real network usage where the TRAC fees paid by data publishers are redistributed to node operators and stakers, more similar to protocol revenue sharing creating strong incentive alignment between all participants from data publishers, node operators and stakers.
Since 2018, the TRAC team has reportedly used only ~20% of its treasury, largely because EU innovation grants and enterprise partners help fund development and usage. It’s one of the few teams from that era that’s stayed active while maintaining a low burn rate, proof of real operational sustainability.
I won't comment too much on the chart structure, but IMO, quite constructive and forming a good base here. I will DCA into this for a long term play.
[FOUNDERS WEEKLY UPDATE] @origin_trail moving towards internet-wide adoption
As @OpenAI Sora2 showed how to easily create harm by manipulating individual's likeness, @umanitek showed how those harms can be put in check by using @origin_trail DKG at an event in Reykjavik 🇮🇸.
Great to see $EIGEN step into the #AI verification space.
Mainstream is finally waking up: #AI without verifiability = risk ⚠️.
But let’s keep perspective – verifiable #AI is not new.
$TRAC @origin_trail has been pioneering here.
Important note:
👉 These are all exciting ideas.
👉 Each project takes a different approach & use-cases.
👉 Competition = innovation
👉 Or possibly collaboration for better innovation
Should we compare? 👇
Both projects have strong partners.
But the difference is: $TRAC partners actively use the #DKG network today. The token is live, with 100% of yield → stakers & node operators.
So not ALL TOKENS are equal…
⚠️ $EIGEN risks:
👉Token utility still unclear / non-existent
👉Heavy VC involvement
👉Massive token unlocks (sell pressure)
👉Already large MC
👉No ICO for retail (VCs got in via ETH locking)
✅ Yes, big influencers and VCs will probably shill it (after their tokens unlock 😅).
✅ $TRAC strengths
👉Trusted knowledge assets on the #DKG → ensuring provenance, integrity & authenticity of data, with real use-cases live today 👉 https://t.co/wUDTpUqo0W
👉100% of yield → stakers & node operators 👉 https://t.co/mWXs5imfsm
👉ZERO inflation – capped supply, all tokens already circulating
👉Active enterprise & Web3 integrations
👉20%+ of supply staked, securing the network & earning real yield
👉Multichain: ETH, DOT, Base, Gnosis
👉Built for #AI + supply chain + knowledge graphs → multi-sector adoption is live
Play on both tokens, but know what has real utility and what is hype and VC-driven.
#AI Verification isn’t hype.
It’s the foundation for the future of #AI. 🌐
